We were surprised how good could be a vacation with the kid in this hotel, there is everything thought throw for kids safety and comfort of parents. Perfect friendly team , super pro reception team. Great kids club area. Gooood food. Good beds ! For us it’s often critical. Please just regulate windows after winter- we got sick on last stormy night - cause it was “windy” in a kids bedroom (

Visiting Diadora is an awesome experience every time. Such nice people working there, starting from the kind ladies with big smiles at the reception that basically help with everything, really polite weiters, huge restaurant and such tasty food. The parents can visit the bar, pool without worry because the kids will be really taken care of in Falkyland. Amazing team working there with interesting programmes for kids.
All workers make you feel like you came home. Every time blown away by the organisation. Will be coming back again for sure.

This is the best family hotel I have ever been to! The service is world class, all the employees extremely friendly, willing to go the extra mile. The facilities are top, from climbing wall, swimming classes to excellent breakfast and dinner buffet, to SPA, to indoor and outdoor pools... Special mention of Katharina, the climbing and swimming instructor, who was beyond lovely. We will be back!

I recently had the pleasure of working as an external collaborator at Diadora, and I want to express my utmost satisfaction with the entire experience. Every aspect of my stay was truly remarkable, and I would like to highlight each one individually.

Firstly, the room I was provided with was simply outstanding.Throughout my stay, the room provided a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

The reception staff truly deserves recognition for their warm and friendly welcome. Right from the moment I arrived, their professionalism and willingness to assist were evident. They went above and beyond to ensure that I felt valued as a guest, providing helpful information about the hotel's facilities and nearby attractions.

The level of service provided by the entire staff, from the bellboys to the waiters, kitchen staff, and housekeeping, was exceptional. Every member of the team displayed a genuine commitment to meeting the guests' needs with care and attention.

I would also like to emphasize the hotel's exceptional effort in providing a comprehensive program for children. The program offered a perfect balance of fun and educational activities, ensuring that children remained engaged and entertained throughout their stay.

What impressed me the most was the hotel's continuous pursuit of service improvement. It was evident that guest feedback was highly valued, and the hotel actively sought ways to enhance the overall experience.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

"Very nice place to stay with family. The hotel is more oriented towards smaller children (I guess up to 10 years). There is plenty of space around the sea and on the beach. Sunbeds are also placed in the forest around the sea, offering lots of shade. The food is excellent, a Mediterranean kitchen with some international mix. Overall, an exceptional holiday (even with 3 days of rain :))"

What a fantastic hotel! The staff was wonderfull and very friendly! The room was lovely, the kids loved the climbing area. The food was made with love. I especially loved the Indian/Thai food. The chef was friendly and always smiling. The playing areas for the kids were super. For every age something to do. Falkensteiner hotel thanx for this wonderful and relaxing vacation!

If you have small kids, this place is amazing. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Staff is wonderful. The pool scene is perfect. Fun water slide. Great kids activities. Food is buffet style and pretty reasonable for a few days. There are a couple a la carte options on the hotel property that are fun and a nice change. Could probably skip the lunch buffet and either go to the a la carte places or order from the bar. Zadar is a 20 minute drive for going into town for dinner or walking around. Will definitely come back. Easy drive from Zagreb or Split airports. Beach is ok- that’s the only drawback. There are much prettier beach options along the coast but it’s totally fine for a few days.

Fantastic for families with kids of younger age and families with vegetarians amongst them. The hotel was recently renovated and reopened in summer 2022, when it was upgraded to 5 stars.
We have been here several times and many reviewers have already commented on the fantastic food, the location, the rooms and the programme available for the kids.
Therefore, I will focus on adding some different aspects not mentioning very often:

The beach:
Yes, this one does not necessarily look like 5 stars, here I agree with other reviewers. For 5 stars you would expect it to be cleaner and set up in a nicer way, with some service for drinks etc. However, I still consider it 5 stars for other reasons, which are not common and more important to us as a family:
A) it is well protected from the wind. Numerous times, even the guests just around the corner (e.g., at hotel Iadera) were facing significant waves and hardly anyone was swimming - while the beach front at Diadora was still quiet and well used, by swimmers, snorkelers and SUPs
B) well protected from jellyfish. Yes, we have seen one single jellyfish in total so far, but this was the only one. At the same time other beaches around us as well as further away (up to Istria) were reporting heavy jellyfish traffic with people partially not being able to swim, while this beach was still in normal use without anybody being stung.
C) there is a small artificial sandy part, where even the youngest ones can enter the sea in a shallow area without any pain to their feet. Also used to play games in the water. At the same time, it is the most protected part of the beach which also means, the sand does not impact visibility for snorkelling folks around it.
D) there is an artificial reef close to the beach, consisting of rocks. Many little fish found a home here, some bigger brasses, crabs, schools of garfish and starfish can be spotted as well. Depth is 3-5 m.

The vegetarian topic:
During various visits to Croatia we found it rather difficult, as vegetarians, to have a wide variety of choices. This is completely different in this hotel. The meat- and fish-lovers are happy here, but vegetarians can be, too. At dinner, it can happen that there are just 2 choices for a main course on one evening, while on others there are 4-5 choices. And even if you don’t find what you want: just ask the chefs, they will live-cook for you and leave fish or meat aside.

What I mentioned above are the main reasons, why this location seems to be a very good selection for us.

As hotel for families and kids, it is amazimg. Pools, activities, rooms. Dont expect 5* service, any nightlife, food is seasoned for kids (no salt). Mix feelings from reception. One time a great service, another time, bellow 2*. But staff taking care of kids: 5*.

A luxurious apartment hotel. Big area, own beach and several restaurants on the spot.
I recommend the fish restaurant with beautiful views and superb bbq. A bit pricey though.

A great closed vacation complex. It has private beaches and is amazing for kids! It has everything you might need while you're there. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - big beds and closets, entertainment for your kid, big bathroom with a Remington hairdryer (very important to me) The food is great. The personnel can be an example of amazing hospitality - kind, always ready to assist and dedicated to make your stay perfect. Only comment I have is that the corridor leading you to the sauna from the pools is quite cold. Everything else is very well thought and executed.

Exceeded all expectations! From the gorgeous location to the top-notch amenities and attentive staff, it was a perfect family retreat. Highly recommend! Want to say a big thank you to the Animation team Rebeka, Lovro, Anja, Vanessa and everyone else involved, you were all great!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay there, the rooms and service exceeded all expectations. Everyone from the entertainment team David, Andrea, Rebeka and everyone else were super nice. Will be staying here in the future aswell.

If you are looking for 5 star family vacation, just book Diadora. The facilities for kids are amazing but also great food and nice staff. We are here for the second time and we will come also next year.

Best family hotel in Croatia. There are plenty of things to do in the hotel area for all age groups, I have never seen a hotel featuring 5 indoor playgrounds, workshops, horse riding and what not. There are also many pools for kids and adults and the rooms are a blast since every single one has a special kids room. An improvement point could be to rebuild the gym and a lack
of personnel in some areas, also
it is quite expensive. A bonus point is the proximity of a wineyard accross the hotel where you can buy wine and olive oil. I would return back for sure

Would be nice if the guests would wear their masks and not act as if corona doesn't exist, especially considering that this is a family hotel and none of the children could get vaccinated. The staff was nice and always helpful, food exceptional as usual. Bathroom was smelling, but as I said, the hotel will get renovated as far as I know, so it will be taken care of. Looking forward to coming again after refurbishment.
