Very interesting. Small gift shop. Birth place of Tito.
Top restaurant and reasonably priced. Best soup I have had on a chilly damp November day. Lovely.
This place is well worth the visit.

Love visiting open air museums, and this one did not disappoint! Added bonus is that it holds the birthplace of the beloved Yugoslavian leader, Tito.

Very good museum. Tito's house is only one part of the museum it's actually a very big open air museum representing the old village of Kumrovec. But not only the buildings themselves you can go inside and there are permanent exhibitions of the old farming lifestyle. Very nice built and maintained. Also the food in the restaurant which is located inside the museum itself is really good and reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend.

This was a first rate experience.
I really enjoyed the work that the people have put into restoring and showing the realities of Croatian peasant life.
Tito’s house is the main attraction but the small houses show just how tough it was.
Great job restoring and preserving a piece of the country’s history.

Kumrovec is known for being a birth place of Tito but the old village open-air museum is much more than that. It has about 20 old, restored houses that paint a picture of the village life in Zagorje in the 19th century. It's one of the best open air museums I've visited so far. The houses and the grounds are beautifully restored and one can learn a lot about the traditional crafts. It's very entertaining and fun for kids as well. It's a perfect day trip from Zagreb.

A very interesting musem from a historical and ethnological point of view. You can almost feel that you're in the 19th century again. The houses are organized by the type of manufacture - pottery, smithery, winemaking, agriculture, and so on. There are houses where you can see how people lived and celebrated weddings and other festivities.
A great insight into the Zagorje culture and customs!

Just the best well kept full village museum I have ever visited. Yes, you can have well renovated castles and churches, but commoners houses like this? Nowhere else. Must see.

A lovely museum in the heart of Croatia. It seems as though the time stood still in Kumrovec and decided to show us a picture of a much simpler life. Folklore and tradition is intervowen through this place which is well kept and groomed.

a unique open-air museum, with preserved original village houses, from the turn of the 19th to the 20th century. Visitors can see the permanent ethnological collections of the traditional way of life from the end of the 19th century, such as: Zagorje wedding, Life of a young married couple, From hemp to canvas, blacksmithing, pottery, from grain to cake… viewing price is affordable.

Great small piece of history here. You can see tradicional Croatian village from begining of 20th century. Also there are several business from same era with tools on display. Beside that you can look the house where Josip Broz Tito had been born in, and lived in his early years.

Excellent place to visit, old village museum is great to browse. Also you can visit and see as part of the old village birth house of bolshevik monster Josip Broz Tito or at least historians claim that person was born there.

Place where was born most famous Croat in history. Founder of Yugoslavia and Croatia (as a republic within the federation). But its is not imprtanant in this review. You really can see how wad it on Zagore just 100 year ago.

A very cute open air museum. Most things were bilingual so understandable for a foreigner, but in some houses you could just enjoy the view and guess what they were saying. Lovely atmosphere, and lots of apple trees and grapes growing there too!
