Nikola Tesla Memorial Centre

Very good, informative and creative museum of this genius man. I really liked all of the building where he lived, the amazing experiment of one of his inventions (shown every hour), the documentary and how it is exposed. The information places the life and inventions of Tesla in the history and other big events, it is done very good and interesting. Also there are drawers which give you insight in what Tesla said or others said about him, which helps you to understand him. I can really recommend this place for a visit about this wonderfull man, who dedicated his life to science!

It would really be a shame to spend a day in Lika without visiting the Memorial Center "Nikola Tesla" in Smiljan. You can easily spend (or rather earn) an hour or two, and it will be interesting for the kids as well. In the center, there is also an interesting children's playground, where many children had fun until the start of the documentary.

Winter working hours are short, so inform yourself before arriving.

Nice place to visit. You can see the home where Nikola Tesla was born. There is a showroom there, but we were not lucky to see the show, because we should wait for several hours (probably because of the corona shows are not happening often). Entrance fee is 50kn for an adult. There is a playground for kids and the rest stop where you can relax, get some ice cream, etc

Delightful little rest stop & memorial for someone who is arguably the world’s greatest inventor (the timeline exhibit here is a very informative summary of Tesla’s accomplishments and near-accomplishments). Serene natural setting. It’s a humble site, so don’t expect too many bells and whistles. But I think his story becomes that much more poignant when you see what simple surroundings he came from. Inspiring.

It is a very informative and well-maintained place regarding Tesla's life, his obsessions, his journey, and everything.

Feel Mr Nikola's spirit

This is the place where Nikola was born, you can feel how happy he was growing up in the nature.

The statue of Nikola was very tall, felt taller than 2m. Not sure if it is 1-1.

In the memorial center you get to seee Nikola's life (the glorias time and the down and lonely time), his great mind experience the cool experiment.
Every 2h there is a 30m documentary/show.

The staff was super friendly and Welcoming Souvenirs are low priced, 3 to 4 euro for a nice t-shirt, some euros for magnets etc Definitely worth visiting.

And this is my main visiting point in Croatia as such a big fan!

It's rather small but it's always great to learn something about this absolutely amazing man and see his palce of birth. His birth house gives interesting information about the world in his time. There is also a replica of his laboratory with a short demonstration.

For me, everything abot Tesla is interesting. We have visited the center at some special days and the entry was free. Stuff was awesome, they were super helpful and relaxed. I would recommend to visit this place.

Cool place to visit to get a glimpse of Nikola Tesla’s genius. Modern presentation of his life and achievements is smooth and does not overload visitor with information. Some hard-core technical fans might be a little disappointed with that but kids will be happy with the playground for sure.

Spent a fascinating afternoon here, wandering the exhibits and looking around the property. A great place to learn about Tesla's life and inventions! And the location itself is absolutely gorgeous.

The memorial is very well organized and includes interactive experiments to understand some of the amazing discoveries of a great man. You can see the old house where Nicola Tesla grew up. You have a short video in the multimedia room explaining his life. Inspiring !

Been here 8 years ago and will come back again. They have presentations every 2h because of the generator, it lasts up to 10min but it is worth waiting.
Meanwhile you can walk around, there is a playground for kids. Old house where Nikola was born was turned into small museum. Nearby is a church in wich his father was a priest of eastern christianity church..
Toilette is right next to a ticket box at the parking place.

Very nice time spent in the center! We were just in time for the Nikola’s transformer demo. We watched also a video presentation of Tesla’s short biography. Very informative and worth a visit when in the area.
