Restaurant Stajun Hvar

Away from the hustle and bustle of the port and main square area, this lovely restaurant serves fresh seafood and locally sourced produce in a relaxed leafy garden environment. There are excellent wines to complement the food. IMO, one of the best restaurants in Hvar town. The french fries with local potatoes were delicious! We dined last night and they were closing soon for the season. Definitely put this on your list when visiting Hvar.

Extremely good food in a very nice atmosphere. We tried truffle pasta and shrimp tagliatelle and both were among the best dishes we had in Croatia. A bit pricy but definitely worth it.

Cannot recommend this place enough! We had a fantastic time! From the service, the food, the ambient everything was fantastic! Some of the best seafood we had in a long time! If in Hvar town this place is a must!

Great food and service. Our server was very polite, fun, and attentive. He made good recommendations for drinks and main dishes, which all turned out great! The black truffle burrata and grilled white fish with veggies for 2 people were our favorites. The mixed salad as a side was good portion and also delicious.

Perfect small elegant and quiet restaurant, talented chef creat Mediterranean dishes with occasional international touch with plenty of character, all prepared from the best domestic ingredients. Local olive oli, local and international wine, perfect meat, beautiful Adriatic fish and sea food, very plenty choice on menu, we have problems to choose!

After almost giving up on finding nice food on Hvar our airbnb host saved the day with this recommendation. So pleased she did, avoid the restaurants around the main square and walk five minutes further (close to bus stop). Friendly staff, knowledgeable waiters about wine choices and excellent food made this very enjoyable experience. The Red Snapper was very well prepared and tasted great.

Beautiful experience, service was the best and waiter very knowledgeable and polite. A little bit hidden from other crowded restaurants in the main square, but not that difficult to find. Prices are a bit higher, but you get to taste the local wine and so much attention to small details.

Beautiful Restaurant. Situated away from the main hussle of Hvar town the food on offer blew us away. My wife and I shared five appertisers - they all sounded too delicious to miss out.
We weren't disappointed - the flavours and food are some of the best we have tasted across the world. Definitely the best food we ate during our trip to Croatia. The Fig Burrata and Orange Tuna were absolute highlights.

I've been travelling round Europe for the last month and this is by far the best meal I've had. Incredible service with great recommendations. Food was delicious, I shared the tuna tartare (the orange peel was delicious!) and the truffle burrata. For my main I had the wild asparagus and blue crab fettuccine. I can't eat squid and they were very happy to swap the pasta for me. Everything was beyond delicious! Wouldn't haven't changed anything.

Best Place in Town! Incredible Food, insanely friendly Service and fair pricing. Found the place by walking through town and stayed. Had seafood and meat with Truffels - insane! So good we came back the day after and where greeted by name! Again - amazing (mussels & rib eye steak)
Came back a third Time today and are very sad, that we are leaving Hvar tomorrow. We will be coming back again next year!

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful food. Our waiter was very friendly and he recommended us many dishes that everyone loved. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Stunning find. Very unassuming from alleyway but a lovely courtyard that includes a covered seating area. Excellent presentation and wine list. Fish carpaccio, seafood fettuccini was all divine.

We look for off the beaten path, non-touristy places when we travel. You know, where the locals eat.

Stajun is a can't miss. Great freshly caught fish prepared perfectly. Service was A+.

This is the exact culinary experience everyone who visits 🇭🇷 should have the opportunity to indulge in, it is pure Adriatic gastronomic excellence. Their ravioli will take you through a delightful pallet smoothly incorporating all the glorious flavors enriched by the sea. The hospitality and restrooms are fantastic! I will never forget Stajun!!!

Our best restaurant on our Croatian Holiday: excellent food, perfectly presented, friendly service, good wine, nice garden, it was just perfect. Compliments.

Štajun in local dialect means season, period of the year, but there is one more personal value this word has for me, it’s a name of my friend’s restaurant. Opened just 2 years ago in its 3rd season of operation and 2nd season we are regularly visiting it, manages to offer to its guests finest dishes from land and from sea, as well as finest selection of local and Italian wines. This place is managed by two friends, one is amazing chef and another one is master of wines, both of them loving their job and performing it with perfection. Pure greatness. We hope to spend many more “štajuns” in our Štajun.
