Nook is such a wonderful restaurant! Not only was the food incredible, the ambiance and service were top notch. It was lovely to chat with the owner, D! I have been travelling around Croatia for a month and the dishes at Nook are definitely some of the best that I have had throughout my time in the country. Intentionally crafted and curated. The naan, curries, truffle fries, pasta and more! I highly recommend! Already looking forward to my next visit!

In the winter, finding a restaurant in Stari Grad can be quite a challenge! But we were lucky to have found Nook. I strongly recommend them visiting them and trying the wonderful dishes prepared by the English chef! A Friendly attitude, excellent communication and incredible tasty dishes served! Thank you for the warmth ❤ and unforgettable impressions!

We LOVED this lunch experience. The atmosphere is so peaceful - set in a beautiful garden-filled courtyard. The food is so fresh with incredible flavors. The service was top notch. We felt so lucky to have found this spot and wanted to recommend it to anyone in Stari Grad.

In search of delicious food in Stari Grad, we stumbled across this cute little spot in the heart of the town. As soon as you walk in, you recognize that this cafe was going to be different. - hanging gardens all around, the sweet smell of nectar in the air.

Our group was rolling 10 deep that night, so reservations were a necessity. The table was set up for our arrival. The staff was welcoming and absolutely on point.

The food is amazing. The best meal we had during our trip to Croatia. Every dish had a great attention to detail with subtle yet delicious flavors. Not a single wasted dish.

The drinks were fantastic. Ranging from mules to espresso martinis. Everyone in the party was extremely pleased with their cocktails. We even had a sampling of Croatian brandies as a digestif course.

Really amazing restaurant, something very different and original! Food is excellent, not any particular kitchen (Asian, Mediterranean) but both spicy food and seafood, and many others. All ingredients are well combined, and portions are really big, especially starters - we were already full after them. Prices aren't too high, profitable for this amazing food.
Waiters were very kind and they knew their job well, and atmosphere is also great.
This is our first restaurant at island Hvar, but it set very high standards, and we are planning to go there again soon, and try desserts we didn't this time and some of their great cocktails (nooktails :)) again!

Quaint, calm, and beautiful, what more could you ask for during breakfast. My three friends and I discovered this restaurant on our last day in Stari Grad. Had we known about it earlier, I can guarantee we’d have been back for more. I can personally recommend the Eggs Hektorovic for breakfast. You have to visit, and feel the atmosphere for yourself. 💯

Vegetarians and vegans look no further, this is for you.

Lovely Garden Restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere and fine dining. We took the 2 course menu and enjoyed very delicious and creative starters followed by the duck (4 ways). We can only recommend it!
The service was also outstanding - very warm and friendly.

Lovely food (also the veggie options are really good which is not always easy to find in Croatia) and very friendly staff. Happy to have chosen to have dinner in the lovely garden @Nook for our last meal at Hvar. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing place with amazing food and staff. The garden where upu can eat is magical and the staff really friendly and attentive, something I've noticed does lack a little in general in Croatia. We will be going back for sure.🥰🤩

Just WOW! This restaurant is a fantastic place with fantastic food and service. The pictures do not give the flavour and food quality justice. We'll certainly be back before we leave.

Fantastic food served in a beautiful garden surroundings close to the harbour. Great veggie and gluten-free options and an absolutely outstanding staff. Though we encountered a tiny mishap with our food being delivered late, the staff truly stepped in to make the experience outstanding. Truly recommend!

My family and I came here for breakfast the two days we were in Stari Grad. This place is tucked away in the cute alley ways. I got the Spiced Avocado both days, and the flavor and presentation was amazing! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Stari Grad! It was the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I was very excited to finally try Nook as I have eaten Chef Nino's food before when he worked in the city of Hvar. Everything from the fanciest of food to the most common snacks are mouthwatering when Nino makes them! So, it was exciting to see what he would come up with for his and his partner, Dajana's, restaurant.

The food was delicious (as we expected). Though the menu focuses on options for vegetarians and vegans, my meat-eating husband and I really loved our mains of duck and fish & chips. We split the summer rolls as our starter and had Nino-masu (tiramasu) for dessert. You can see pictures of each dish. I was surprised with just how filling the portions were.

The garden terrace is beautiful and provided a romantic backdrop for our anniversary dinner. The photos we took together turned out beautifully with all the greenery around.

The servers, from those more experienced to the newbies, were all super friendly. I was impressed with just how quickly our food came to us. My husband ordered a coffee thinking he'd have time to drink it slowly before our food came out. But, he barely finished rolling his cigarette and our appetizer was already out. The mains also came quickly. Good thing my husband likes cold coffee as he ended up waiting to drink it with the dessert! The coffee is also excellent according to my very picky (about coffee) husband.

What I like about Nook's approach is that they looked at what most restaurants in Croatia have and decided to do things a bit differently to give some newer options. And, what fantastically delicious options they have prepared!

Next time I go on Hvar, I will definitely be back at Nook for some more fantastic eats!

Would go back if in Stari Grad again. Given how quiet town was in the off season, and that fact it was raining, it was great to see friendly and efficient staff who were happy to help as soon as we walked in. Plenty of Vegan options. On and off season menu. Beautiful outdoor area to sit (when sunny) Cozy vibe inside. Toilet on site.

Excellent service and really good food. We ate out in the garden courtyard which was beautiful.
Although we love Croatian / Dalmatian cuisine, it was so nice to have a refreshingly new menu to choose from.
We chose arancini and wings to start, followed by a prawn and chicken green thai curry.

What a find! Such delicious food. Our kids had the veggie burger and Mac n cheese and we enjoyed the Thai curry. So good to find vegetarian options. And do save room for pudding, because that was SO good - strawberries and basil sorbet.
And to top it off, the best service. Go, go, go!

Absolutely amazing experience. First time in a week long Croatian islands hopping we didn’t feel cheated or ripped off, leaving a restaurant. You do get what you paid for, and more.
Food is a unique combination of international and domestic meals, with a twist. Whether that is crispy samosa, fish and chips, or out of this world mango cheesecake (sensational!), you will be happy with your choice.
The venue is also exceptional - a quiet, secluded garden patio surrounded by stone walls and houses, in the middle of Stari Grad, Hvar.
Dajana, her hubby and their team created something very special. Highly recommend.

Simply amazing. The drinks were spectacular, the seafood appetizer was enchanting and the Thai curry and shark tacos were out of this world. The setting is whimsical and romantic and the wait staff was warm and friendly. I would come back to Stari Grad simply to come to Nook. Another reviewer said it was the best meal they've ever had, and I cannot agree more.

We found this place on their third day of operation and couldn't be happier with our timing in visiting Stari Grad. The food is amazing, the owners are extremely warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is superb. We ate here two out of our three nights in town and were impressed with every meal.
The owners are super friendly and genuine and we enjoyed speaking with them throughout our meal. Their passion is obvious and contagious.
They told us that the edible flowers on one of their dishes came from the garden and the caper berries on our dish came from the bright green caper plant hanging next to their sign!
Although I'm a meat eater, there are plenty of veg options available. The daily menu is excellent value.
I fully expect to see this restaurant to be number 1 in a very short time.

Lovely setting with delicious food in generous portions. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Friendly service too!

Not the cheapest, but you will be full by the end of the meal (and wishing you had a second stomach).
