Trailhead - Napoleon Fortress

Great hike with easy to follow trail. Pretty uphill but the view is worth it!
Took me 30 mins to get to the top from the town square at a solid pace with a few stops for photos. First part has some shade, but definitely got a bit sweaty in the full sun near the top. Best to do it early in the day.

Trail is well laid out and signed, it is more of a hike than a walk take some appropriate shoes. The top is a great spot for sunset (give yourself 25-35 minutes to get to the top from the start of the trail so you don't miss the sunset)

Took the Ferry from Split to Hvar, beautiful town....we decided to take the walk up to the Fortress, not too difficult but superb views once inside the Fortress walls, there's a small fee to get inside but it's well worth it. There's a cafe+ toilets there also.

Road to fortress Is mostly covered in stone. If you take this road you will go through the woods and you will have a lot of beautiful views on Hvar and Fortica fortress. I highly recommend to take this road instead of continuing to follow road for cars. Its short road (25-30) mins walking and it Is not hard to achieve. Its very nicely marked so you will not get lost. Yet its more like hiking than just casually walking.

It's a normal hiking trail, so expect somewhat rocky terrain, no flip-flops, wear normal shoes, sneakers will be fine :) you can easily reach the top in 30 minutes, but make sure to bring plenty of water and go early in the morning or later in the afternoon. Heat stroke is not a joke.

Marked hiking trail easy to medium complexity. Views on the way and on top are amazing

Extremely hot during mid day. Bring water!

Steep steep climb - fortress is worth the trip

Great view of Hvar and Spanjola Fortress.

Randonnée facile, paysage sublime, coucher de soleil bien visible. Même pas besoin de monter tout en haut pour profiter. Il fait tout de même très chaud même en début de soirée.

Ok staza za kratko planinarenje. Sama trđava nije ništa specijalno ali pogled s vrha na Hvar, Paklene otoke... je jako lijep.
