Barrel Zagreb

A very cute place, very cozy and nice. The food was delicious and the portions were big. The desert was good too. The only thing I didn’t like was the homemade potatoes and bread, too dry. Everything else was perfect.

Amazing food and really good service. Tried Wok with chicken and I have to admit it was one of the best I had in quite a while.
Menu selection is very good and everyone can find something for themselves. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will be returning for sure.
Pro tip: since the place can get quite busy, I recommend checking in advance and making a reservation.

Very good Čevapi, onion and fries. Bread with sheep cheese spread was delicious. We stopped by on our trip back home from holidays and it was a very good spot. Its worth a try for sure. We had also an octopus with grilled vegetable and udon noodles with teriyaki and pizza margarita. All the meals were very good.

Place with delicious food, we visited on the way to plodovi Kovačević for picking strawberries. They have an african grey parrot and the atmosphere of the place is really nice.

Stumbled upon this gem looking for something decent in the area. Our minds were blown! A beautiful place offering different things: restaurant, cafe (smoking and not), etc.
We had a wonderful dinner - food was excellent with good prices, great selection of deserts, atmosphere and decore was very nice (attention to detail), everything was clean, staff was great!
Highly recommend and looking forward to going back. You can tell they care.

The food is top notch, well prepared and savoury. Menu offers uncommon items, which are excellent. The interior and staff were great too.

We found this restaurant on accident while avoiding the traffic in Zagreb…pleasantly surprised!! Ambiance was perfect- a mix or modern and traditional, and lots of plants around.

The food was amazing. I’m not much of a pizza person but I saw the brick ovens and knew I had to try. Amazing! We’re American and definitely approve of the burger also- which is extremely rare for us to like burgers in Europe.

The service was 10/10- anytime I asked for something, it was in front of me in 30 seconds.

Also, my kids enjoyed meeting Rio, the beautiful African Grey Parrot in the bar area.

Will definitely stop here again when we drive through Zagreb! Don’t miss this spot!

I recently had an exceptional dining experience at Barrel thanks to the outstanding service provided by our waiter, Dino. Dino's product knowledge was truly remarkable, enhancing our meal in every way. His attention to detail and passion for the cuisine shone through, making our visit truly memorable. We were delighted with every aspect of our evening, and it was Dino's exceptional service that elevated it to an unforgettable culinary adventure. We can't wait to return to Barrel and be in the capable hands of Dino once again.

Staying a week in the neighborhood, we went twice there (only twice because we had some leftovers from there in between). Each time we left with doggy bags because the portions were very huge. The food is really great. You can pick whatever you want on the menu it's awesome and you can eat at list twice on the plate (great when you are in holidays, do not want to cook neither to go out every evening!). The deserts are highly memorable :as tasty as they are beautiful, and not too sugary (and you can take away as well for the day after). The service is as great as the rest. Cherry on the cake, dogs are most than welcome. We highly recommend this place and hope your kind waitress going to Paris in September enjoyed het trip.

Delicious food like always, and good waiters , one of the best restaurants in zagreb. Only complaint that I would say is that they have only labeled pricy wine list , the list is huge and good wines are available , but the nice addition to the list would be that they offer for example a wine of the house ( red and white) for around 15 euros per liter , like most restaurants in zagreb offer. Overall a very nice atmosphere, and as you can see from the pictures well presented food , and the taste of the food is absolutely divine , specially the deserts , definitely the place to recommend!

Interior dod not reflect the name. Would have like to see a wider range of foods like spare ribs amd fpod that you would normally associate with the word Barrel. Beer would could have been much colder

Good place for having a drink, nice women, nice wine, good high quality food!

If this very good, large restaurant was in Zagreb proper, it would charge prices 30% higher, but locals know it and visit when they want a good Croatian meal. As a Canadian married to a local I had the opportunity to visit along with 40 other friends and family. No question, the food and service is very good. Probably worth the short drive from downtown to get here. It has several rooms in different designs where you can eat in one area and enjoy a quiet coffee or drink in another. Meat dishes are very popular in Croatia so here you can sample some of the best. You can't really go wrong. The gin and tonic comes with dried flowers (hibiscus) that infuse color and a mild flavour into the drink much like the flavour in Hendricks 'summer' gin.

Without a doubt the best pizza I've had anywhere in Croatia. As good as any Margherita DOP in Italy! Everything else was great too, and it's a beautiful place to eat.
