Toreta Winery

Our guide from Tours By Locals, Tina, arranged for wine tasting. We were happy to not be part of a Cruise Ship tour as we were hurry at all. We enjoyed a sampling of wines as well as a great plate of meat, cheese, olives and such. Very friendly owners. We would have liked to buy a bottle of wine but the one we liked the best was unfortunately sold out.

We visited for a wine tasting here. Everything we had was excellent. Each wine is unique and I like how our tasting started with a Posip aged in stainless steel and another aged in a wood barrel. It was nice to compare the two. Our tasting was led by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic person. You can tell she is proud of the wines they are making.

Parking can be challenging, but you will find a way to park so you can enjoy a visit with some wine on their terrace.

We had a fantastic time sampling the wine! The 4th generation wine producer was very knowledgeable about the history of wine production in the region and introduced each wine with information about the grape, the production process, age etc. The wines were lovely, we purchased a delicious dessert wine which we intend to sip with our Mince pies at Christmas. Add in the wonderful view across the vineyards, valley and hills, then you have yourself a really enjoyable experience.

Nice small winery with long history. The host was really friendly and she explained us everything about the wines we were tasting. We also ordered a plate of local food for 2 which was delicious. Great experience and relaxing atmosphere!

Great local winery with a good view over the valley. Tasting is free, with the option to purchase degustation (20€), another glass (1.5-2.5€) and bottles. Owner was nice and explained the wines to us. Would recommend the Posip!

Wonderfull small/medium site winery from Smokvica. Very very nice and entertain hosts (both ladies, unfortunately did not get their names). We enjoy wine tasting with domestic specialities. A must visit place. Extra plus for accepting credit cards.

We had best time of our lives tasting wines and discuss about it with owners. Great products, super atmosphere and amazing views.

Popped over for wine tasting and was given 3 whites and 1 red. All smelled very nice and tasted very good. We bought the Posip 2016 which was very smooth and we left to another winery. Eventually we went back to Toreta on the same day to buy the red wine as my fiancee really liked the smokey flavour of it. The owner was very friendly, very nice and very detailed on his explanations. Great conversations. Highly recommended to go.

Kind owner explained to us about their wine. Very nice top quality pošip white wine. Principesa is my favorite dessert wine.

Great experience and even better wine! My friends and I enjoyed our visit, the lady was so kind and it was really nice talking to her. Wine tasting is free, but the wine is so good that you will want to buy everything because of its taste and value for money. Thank you and hope we will be back :)

We wanted to try a local winery, and I think it was the best choice that we opted for this one. The wines and the presentation of the production was delightful. The host is very kind. As she said, it was like we visited “their home”. Everything was so familiar and welcoming. We liked every moment here. Totally recommend. :)

Great host offered us several wines. Main sort is Pošip, Korčula's local sort, and Toreta is offering few different variations of it and as well one red wine Plavac mali. If you ever set your foot near Smokvica don't miss this place! Recommended!
And one more thing, wine tasting is free ;))

We had a wonderful afternoon sampling wines on the patio of this family winery. The wines are great, and it has the kind of relaxed atmosphere where you get into conversations with the owner and other guests, and hear about what it's like to live on Korčula and make wines there.
