Had a great experience, awesome food! Owner is very friendly and helpful. We had a great stop and awesome truffle experience :)

Looked like this place was closed. No exterior sign that it was working.
Food: was tasty
Service: Professional, but rather cold. We were the only ones sitting eating, and he didn’t really seem happy to see us. At the end he insisted us paying cash, but I only had a card, he then said in Croatian, ‘fücking cards’.
Would I go back? Well maybe if I was lost in Northern Istria, as I was at that time.

Best dinner ever. The owners are just the friendliest people ever. Highly recommended. Best truffles, meat and sea food ever!

This was a nice surprise.
Disregard the long menu and just ask for recommendations. The cuisine is typical istrian with home made istrian pasta, great risottos, well grilled steaks and the seasonal seafood.
Specialty of the house are truffles. The chef creates wonderful dishes from entrees to desserts with truffles of the season.

The location is dated and the furniture worn. But the relaxed atmosphere and amazing and well balanced combination of dishes guarantees a great stay. And therefore I still award 5 stars.

Edit: We just revisited after 1 year. The verdict stays. Amazing food, especially the starters. This will be a fix point for our Istria trips.

We travel a lot. In Europe and other continents. But this restaurant we remind always when we talk about greatest restaurants. First visit few teraz albo, nad nie again. Everyting is great. Tastes, local delicious tastes!😋😋😋 Owner and atmosphere❣

Absolutely recommend! The service was absolutely amazing and the food the best meal we had in Croatia! (And best price) We stumbled across this hidden gem when taking the back road, skipping the traffic before the border and I am SO happy that we did. Hope to be back soon!

Igor ist ein toller Gastgeber. Wir haben uns auf seine Empfehlungen verlassen. Alles hat super geschmeckt. Allerdings fanden wir nicht alle Preise gerechtfertigt. Die beiden Vorspeisen (Thunfischtatar mit Trüffel und Steinpilze mit Trüffel) für umgerechnet 16€ gehen in Ordnung. Die beiden Hauptgänge 2 Fischfilets (31€) und die tagliata vom Rind (33€) für kroatische Verhältnisse zu hoch.
Ein Besuch ist aber empfehlenswert. Ich würde nächstes mal die Steinpilze mit Trüffel als Hauptspeise bestellen.

Pranzo a base di tartufi: con l'uovo, coi porcini e infine con le tagliatelle. Ottimo il malvasia, le verdure, il sorbetto e una grappa al vischio della casa. Insomma un ristorante di grande qualità, da ricordare

Scoperto per caso, su una strada alternativa per tornare in Italia suggerito da navigatore, posto tranquillo pesce fresco, gestore gentile prezzi giusti. Ristorante è famoso per il tartufo.

Pranzo a base di tartufi eccezionale! Seconda esperienza da Igor e ce ne saranno sicuramente altre, non delude mai. Servizio sempre premuroso.

Wir sind ein Ehepaar aus Österreich/Wr. Neustadt sind gegen 15h in Kastel hungrig angekommen. Stellten uns auf den Parkplatz vom Restaurant und sahen gerade daß das Lokal abgesperrt wird, der freundliche Herr meinte daß um 15h geschlossen werde.
Um 18h wird wieder geöffnet.
Doch er machte eine Ausnahme und meinte freundlichst, na dann kommen sie bitte herein, wir werden schon etwas essbares für sie finden.
Und da wir mehr als zufrieden waren lesen sie hier meine Rezension.
Die angebotenen Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet und waren vom feinsten.
Thunfischtartar mit Trüffel und geröstetes Weißbrot.
Steinpilzeragout mit weißen Trüffel
Grillteller mit Pommes und riesen Salat.
Bestens gekühltes Bier und Weisswein vom feinsten waren ebenso unsere Begleitung
Preis/Leistung, Service Ambiente hervorragend.
Wer hier vorbei fährt dem entgeht einiges.

Ogni volta che vado in Croazia cerco di passare di qua. Sempre ospitali e cordiali. Pesce fresco e gustoso tutte le volte ed ottimi prezzi! Da provare.
