Guest House Plitvice Villa Verde

Welcoming and heartwarming host.
Great advice for hiking in Plitvice Lakes and avoiding crowds. Plus incredibly good & strengthening breakfast.

This small guesthouse has an excellent location when visiting the lakes.

The gentleman that runs it is great. He checked-us in when we arrived after dark and promptly helped us to our room. In the morning, during breakfast we got surprised with a fantastic spread of foods. Delicious and perfect when heading over to a long hike. After breakfast and checkout, he have us some recommendations on our hiking route which turned out to be great advice, we avoided the crowds and got to see the lakes in a really fun way.

The room was spotless and so so clean. Very cozy and comfortable.

Very helpful, hospitable host / proprietor. I didn't realize until arrival that I had made a mistake with the booking, and he made every effort to help me fix it and make things right, even though it was totally my mistake. Really went out of his way to help and make us feel at home here. He gave me detailed recs for restaurants, and exactly the best order in which to visit the various parts of Plitvice national park.
The room itself was quite spacious and comfy, with a nice hot shower, which was appreciated since it gets a little chilly in the mountains at night. We had a lovely little outdoor space to relax, and there is a beautiful common area garden out front as well. Parking was included, and we were able to leave our car all day while we hiked & explored the national park, before coming back to begin our drive home. I really can't say enough about how welcoming and helpful the host was. I would definitely recommend this place or stay again if we return.

Best place to stay, amazing host, modern/beautiful room, wonderful breakfast, free parking on site only a few min away from entrance 2! Great communication before the stay and fast response. We had 7am park tickets and host and his wife graciously prepared breaker early just for us. Make sure to bring cash for the stay and a little extra for breakfast.

Wonderful stay!! Breakfast spread was fantastic. Host was super lovely and gave us really helpful advice. He also drove us to the lakes each day! Definitely will come back if we’re in the area again!

Incredible place to stay! Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast including eggs, bacon, yogurt, granola, meats, cheeses, fruit, pastries, crepes, fresh juice, and coffee. You will be quite satisfied prior to visiting the park. The location couldn’t be better with a 5 min drive to the park entrances! For those that don’t know, both park entrance 1 and entrance 2 are a one-minute drive apart from each other. The staff is incredibly helpful and provided restaurant recommendations, and tips for routes to tour the national park! Highly recommend this wonderful place!

Our favorite stay in Croatia! Beautiful guest house, just minutes away from the national park. We had a spacious and comfortable room. Very friendly hosts, who gave us great advice for visiting the park. Amazing (and filling) breakfast! Highly recommend.

Modern and spacious clean room. 5 km to Plitvice park Entrance 2. Host was very helpful with planning to visit the park and suggestions for dining options. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting. The guest house is managed with lots of care and attention to details. The room was fitted with high quality furniture and bathroom fixtures. Top notch cleanliness. Lovely breakfast. Useful advices. Highly recommend this place.

One of our two favorite B&B's in the world: the family is wonderful, rooms are comfortable and clean, and there is a great breakfast. Just be warned: breakfast comes out on multiple plates so save room! Plitvicka Jezera national park is just 2-3km up the road and the power can provide suggestions on routes. There is also a nice pizza-and-beer bistro an 8 minute walk across the main road.

This place went above and beyond! We were made to feel like family as soon as we arrived at the bus stop and were picked up, even though it was only a 2 minute drive. Breakfast was delicious and they accommodated for me being vegetarian and not liking eggs. It was so peaceful and we really enjoyed our stay. I will definitely recommend here to anyone I meet coming to visit Plitvice NP!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with open arms and a welcome toast. The location is ideal as it is only a few minutes drive from entrance 2 to Plitvice Park. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve had in our travels around Europe. The owners provide a breakfast fit for a king (only 10€)! Eggs, fresh bread, cheeses, salami, fruit, veggies, coffee, juice, and more! The owners treat you like family and are helpful with information about which routes to take in the park, dinner recommendations, and more. Highly recommend!

Comfortably the best place we have stayed in Croatia. Great rooms and location near to the lakes. Also the best breakfast we had on our trip, giving you plenty of energy for a day exploring.

Would be hard to have any regrets staying here. There are a few hotels in this area but this one is set back from the main road so very quiet. The owners are incredibly nice. We came by foot and the male owner drove us to a restaurant and dropped us off at the bus station when we left. And you must try his great breakfast! Really nice guy. You can easily walk to entrance 2 of Plitvice Lakes National Park, not having to take the busy road for there is a well-marked path through the little village, a pleasant walk in itself. Nice big room. Out the back window makes you feel like you are in a forest. We loved our stay.

This super clean, nearly brand new hotel is run by a courteous staff. The gentleman (owner?) gave very clear directions for the national park and is very pleasant towards his guests.

The room we got was spacious, with large windows on 3 sides. The owner gave us great advice about the national park. The breakfast was also great, with many options (and condiments like soy sauce!) and freshly cooked eggs made to order.

The greatest hospitality with clean and comfy rooms and a huge breakfast. Located right by the forest - undisturbed sleep guaranteed.
Entrance 2 of the National Park with the lakes are in a 2 km walk only, you don't even need to move your car.
We will definitely come back :)

Villa Verde is clean and comfortable with large rooms. The owners provide an excellent breakfast and dinner. We had a trout dinner that was exceptional. There is a large patio on which to enjoy a glass of wine or beer after walking around the lakes. The owners are very friendly and enjoy talking with the guests. We highly recommend this hotel.

Large clean modern rooms close to the entrance. Villa Verde also has a lovely, helpful host and serves an excellent breakfast.

What a wonderful place to stay! It's very close to entrance 2 of the Plitvice National Park. The room was nice and clean, very comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious! I love the home made pancakes and cookies, as well as freshly cooked eggs. We also had dinner at the lodge, freshly prepared using local ingredients, one of the best meals I've had in Croatia.
