Bistro Busola

We were passing through Jelsa (business trip) and came across this restaurant; we ordered brudet (old traditional Dalmatian meal - fish, shrimps and shells in vine sauce) with homemade pasta. Everything was so delicious. Big 5* for ambience, it's amazing!! All recommendations for this restaurant.

Great restaurant near sea.
We have been there three times this summer and we are thrilled to get there again when we are in Jelsa.
Food was delicious and waiter was attentive, deserved every tip he got.
We even got some drinks on house!

This place was great! The views of the water and island, the fish stew, and the service were exceptional. We shared a fish stew with everything you could want from the sea by our side. We will definitely be back.

We ate very nice fresh and wild dentex fish. It was 3kg but three of us finished it because of unimaginable good taste :P

Very friendly staff and suberb views of the Jelsa port. Good access to the beach (even though it's very rocky, so not exactly kid friendly) directly below the restaurant, so you can hop in the sea and have a drink right after. Worth the longer walk from the town centre.

We spent very relaxing time there. Beautiful view, peace and quiet in the lower season. Moreover, the service was very friendly and helpful and the food delicious. We will come back there for sure.

Wow, deserves more stars. Had the lamb chops which were absolutely delicious but the grilled vegetables were outstanding! A dish I really did not want to end. Every bit as good as top restaurants around the world only with generous sized portions. Staff very friendly and peaceful location overlooking the entrance to the harbour.

Restaurant with the best view on the whole island.
We tried fish stew and that was a 5 stars meal.
Our waiter Ivan was very knowledgeable about wines.
Next year we'll be coming back for this unique experience.

We were in Croatia 15 odd years ago and did a tour of the Islands loved the place. We spent a week or so on Hvar and so decided to return for our first holiday since Covid. And so pleased that the food offering has so improved, Busola is a great example of this improvement. My partner had the lamb which was great but the vegetables stole the show, he doesn’t like aubergine but he loved the way they cooked it. I had the carpaccio which was delicious and generous with some toasted bruschetta on the side as recommended by the host. Great night enjoyed the service and the atmosphere. Thanks for a great first night in Jelsa.

A lovely place with great food and a very helpful and polite staff, if you are ever close you should definitely visit.

We enjoyed out lunch and twice our diner at Busola in Jelsa, Kroatië. More than I can say. The Brudet and the meat where excellent. Alsof the local wine and the music. We love this place. When we will return in Hvar, Jelsa we will return tot this lovely restaurant.

It was a delight. The waiters were very friendly and competent. The food was amazing.We didn't regret accepting a single one of their recomendations. It isn't exactly cheap but it is money well spent!

Best restaurant in Croatia. Really well made food and very nice service. Location is perfect 5 minutes from city center with a stunning view of the sea. Eat here!!

Great Food, View, and Service it makes me quite sad thats the restaurant si so far from the main tourist stream and therefore doesnt get a lot of guests those who take the 5 min walk there will be surprised and deligted tho as the food is amazing can recommend. There arent that many people there which makes the atmosphere even better and the view is beautifull especially at the tables close to the beach
