Krystal Modus Winery

We had a very nice time at Krystal Modus Winery. Wine and food served for us was delicious. Our hosts were very nice and friendly. I wish to visit them again when back in Dalmatia. Just go there and you will not be disappointed.

We arrived off season and surprisingly for the guide, but nevertheless he gave us a thorough historical story about the winery. He was very charming and answered all our questions with interest. Something to recommend!

We had a great time at the winery learning about the family history of the wine and talking about life and music with Joseph.

Delightful times in this hidden gem close to the highway with friendly Josip in his family's cellar. Krystal Modus is a boutique, family-owned operation specializing in a local grape grown only by three vineyards. We enjoyed the white, rosé and red vintages (he also makes a mean brandy). Next time we return we will book the lunch in the vineyard!

Absolute delight of a wine tasting! Josip had a lot of knowledge and was clearly happy to share and didn't mind at all when we asked questions, he was very patient and answered everything we asked! On top of that all the wine were very nice and reasonably priced at the end to buy, would happily recommend anyone to go here!

If you search for a organic, good and decent winery, then you are right at Krystal Modus!
The winemaker Goran is a professional, knows exactly what he is doing and is a lovely host as well. The tasting was amazing. We also had tasty food beside the tasting.
I also recommend you to go there while daylight, so you can visit the vineyard.
It was a unforgettable experience and taste!

Had a lovely session in the vineyard cellar tasting the wine, accompanied by local cheese and cured meats, and seeing the production area. The hosts were lovely and happy to answer all our questions. We especially liked one of their white wines and the walnut liqueur. There's no pressure to buy but we happily did so! Definitely recommend a visit here.

We loved our wine and food tour! Very good history and explanation of wine making, and good tastes of local wine and food. Also very good price!

Josip told us everything we wanted to know about (the science behind) wine and everything else we were curious about. Wine was good and accompanied with nice cheese. Good price for a great experience.

Small familly vineyard - 2 hectares, 5 K bottles per year. Very nice hosts, nice quality of wines. I like the best Biela Vila- fresh and smooth. Tranac is also good - twelve month in the barrel.

My mother-in-law gave my husband and me a bottle of wine from this vineyard. Of course it tastes completely different than wine from the supermarket - it's true wine and that was a really nice gift :) We will need to go there by ourselves cause she highly reccommends this beautiful place and we want to try other varietes as well

Fantastic wines ,ambient and host Goran

Bei unserem Besuch in der Krystal Modus Winery erlebten wir einen wunderbaren Abend, der vor allem durch den außerordentlich freundlichen Gastgeber geprägt war. Trotz unserer Sprachbarrieren - wir sprechen kaum Englisch und nur minimal Kroatisch - fanden wir einen herzlichen Weg der Verständigung. Die Weinverkostung, begleitet von einer Auswahl an Käse, Oliven und hausgemachtem Schinken, war exzellent. Die Atmosphäre war einladend und gemütlich, was unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich machte. Es ist selten, eine solche Gastfreundschaft zu erleben, die uns trotz sprachlicher Hürden wie zu Hause fühlen ließ.

Wir besuchten am 19.03.24 mit einer kleinen Gruppe und durften eine Weinprobe genießen. Neben köstlichen Weinen gab es auch eine Auswahl an Aufschnitt, teilweise aus eigener Herstellung und teilweise aus der Region. Neben Wein können dort auch selbstgemachte Zitronenliköre, Marmeladen und getrocknete Feigen erworben werden, die alle sehr lecker waren. Die Gastgeber waren äußerst freundlich. Im Sommer bieten sie Weinproben direkt im Weinberg an. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir durften 3 Weine verkosten.
Dazu wurden leckere Snacks (Käse, Schinken, Brot) gereicht.
Angenehmer Gastgeber.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und danken euch für die tollen Gespräche und Informationen über dem Anbau und Verarbeitung eurer Weine.

Hallo liebe Weinliebhaber und vor allem diejenigen, die auch Menschen mit Leidenschaft im Herzen suchen. Beim Weingut Franic seid ihr dann goldrichtig. Josip Franic ist der Sohn und wir haben über zwei Stunden auf einem super Englisch kommuniziert. Es gab Schinken (selbst gepökelt und zart geräuchert) Käse und Brot dazu.
Es gibt Weine aus nur in Kroatien typischen Rebsorten. Rukatac und Zlatarica für die Weißweine und Trnak für die Rot- und Roséweine.
Der Rukatac ist ein sehr trockener Weißwein mit einer herben Note, so wie ich ihn Deutschland nicht kenne. Der Zlatarica dagegen hat wesentlich mehr Säure und wenig Körper - vielleicht brauchen die Reben auch noch etwas, sie sind erst 3 Jahre alt.
Der Rosé aus der Trnak Traube ist eine echte Empfehlung für Weinliebhaber die mehr vom Rosé erwarten. Franic lässt ihn 3 Stunden auf der Schale liegen, bevor die Schalen vom Saft trennt. Die Farbe ist ein schöner Roséton und der Geschmack hat schon einen leichten, angenehmen Rotweinkörper, ist aber trotzdem herrlich frisch. Mein persönlicher Favorit!
Der Rotwein hat durchaus Tanin, die Farbe ist sehr dunkel, schon fast schwarz. Wir haben ihn zum Käse getestet (Hartkäse) da war er der perfekte Begleiter und mit 13,5% angenehm leicht zu trinken. Den Jahrgang 2017 mit 15,5% habe ich noch nicht getestet.
Wer dorthin fährt, bitte melden, bitte etwas mitbringen.
