Konoba Barba Ive

Helpful staff when mooring in front of the restaurant and mostly very good food, specially delicious compared to others in the area. Totally recommend their octopus salad and peka.

We were a group of 7 and had octopus goulash to share as a starter and then grilled fish. The food was amazing, and the waiter Ivan treated us super nicely. Plus, they let us moore in front of the restaurant for free.

Great restaurant! Starting from the staff - very friendly, helpful and professional. We ordered grilled squids and octopus goulash - both very tasty and fresh. We also tried the olive oil that the owners produce themselves - one of the best we've ever tasted - definitely try it! We also had their house white wine - fruity, light and tasty. And all that while watching the sun set over the bay. The prices are fair - comparable or slightly lower than in other Croatian restaurants. Overall it's a great place to eat!

The food was amazing, we had the grilled fish (swordfish) and octopus goulash. Probably the best fish I have ever eaten in my life. The tables are right next to the port and sea, it's just beautiful. Amazing place, definitely a must when on the island for a break!

All in all the best food we had on our Croatia trip!
- octopus salad was marinated deliciously
- the mussels in red sauce were directly taken out of the ocean. So fresh! The red sauce was very delicious. We souk all the bread in it.
- the grilled calamari were tender and juicy.

In Konoba Barba Ive we didn't felt like guests, but like friends. Owner and also a chef, as well as waiters were very kind and professional! While we were in Pomena (7 days), every night we were happy to chose some of their delicious meals, served with local vine and great domestic walnut brandy. Highly recommend Konoba Barba Ive and hope we will see again!

Delicious food (we had steak and grilled fish). Friendly staff, very helpful with mooring and information about the National Park. Happy to reserve the table we wanted. Free electricity for your boat if you eat in their restaurant and we filled up with water too.
Ignore the recent one star reviews. We moored right next to their boat and we thought their demands and expectations were unreasonable.
We arrived quite early so the staff asked us to preorder our dinner. But that’s not a big deal, I suppose it helps the staff to get ready (fire up the bbq, pull the fish out of the tanks etc).
We liked this place and would be happy to go back.

We had an amazing dinner here. We had great service, and the food was delicious. The seafood risotto and anchovie salad were amazing (and the mussels).
There's also the option to tie up at the dock for boats if you dine there. Much better option than a big marina!

Some of the best seafood I've had, and I'm from Boston! The staff are lovely and attentive and take pride in their food and service. Most of the seafood comes, quite literally, from the water right in front of the restaurant...highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time here, the dinner was great as well as the service, despite the boat next to us being total jerks who have hitten us and then made the mess with the restaurant owner, but luckily he managed to departure them.

Great and tasty food, excellent servise and perfect view

Our favourite restaurant on Mljet, so much that we visited three times during our six day stay! The food is simple but so fresh and delicious, and the white wine incredible. The views of the bay are stunning, I’d say the best of the island as it’s a little away from the busier end of the port by the hotel. But best of all were the waiters and owner who were such fun and extremely attentive — we will never forget that swordfish or the three catamaran evening party!
