Our stay at this hotel was great! Rooms are modern and clean, staff is very friendly. Breakfast buffet is huge, with nothing to miss!
There are several pools and pool chairs and two beautiful beaches that can easily be reached by foot.
You could also reach any part of Dubrovnik by bus, always on time and the run very often.
We would recommend this hotel anytime and would gladly come back!

The room overlooked the sea and was a good size with a safe, small fridge & tea/coffee. The bathroom was spotlessly clean & had a large walk-in shower, but water tended to escape onto the floor. Plenty of space to hang/store clothes. Large, comfortable bed.
Not being in/near the old town was a positive as it was in a quiet location with easy access to either private or public shingle beaches. Nearby bus stop with regular, busy, bus service to the old town.

What an experience! Valamar owns the properties surrounding this hotel — including the 5 star President hotel — and you get access to all their facilities simply by staying at this hotel. This means that at a fraction of the price (while still being wonderful itself), you are able to access a 5 star resort so long as you are willing to walk the ~100 meters between the two hotels. I was traveling alone, and wanted a White Lotus type of day for the fourth of July. I was not disappointed.
Not only was I able to check in to my room SIX HOURS before I should have been allowed to. I continued my day by first having a delicious meal at the hotel, coupled with poolside service of an espresso and an aperol spritz. I then went to the beach at the President hotel owned by Valamar — which Argosy visitors get access to for free. I had the most wonderful swim in the Adriatic at the President hotel, which has a diving peer so you can swim without having to walk on the rocks which are on most Dubrovnik beaches. I fully felt like I was in the TV show the White Lotus while here, complete with better customer service and no one dying!
I had a night flight, and was invited to delay my check out, and use the spa showers so that I could swim in the infinity pools — which was great — and the beaches nearby until 6pm.
When I come back with my family I fully intend to stay at the Argosy! Wonderful hotel -- should be 5 stars!

First time in Croatia, looked around and found the Valamar Argosy hotel.

Stayed for a week. Room was excellent, great bed, TV ,fridge, safe, walk in shower. All good.

The hotel is extremely well looked after, very clean at all times. It has x3 pools two outdoor and one indoor. Sun loungers are available but at peak times finding one can be a little difficult but no real issue.

The breakfast buffet is something to behold, every option to can think of and then some more...

Lunch is covered by the open terrace cafe which offers various sandwiches, salads, the pizzas are very good.

Evening meal, you can again use the cafe bar or the main restaurant which offers a buffet style option (30 euro per person when we stayed). The buffet itself was good but the experience was like being in a school dining hall, the first thing was the impression of a January Sale in a department store, we arrived at 7pm to find a massive queue of people waiting for the restaurant to open. When it did it felt like a trolley dash to get what you wanted, the food was fine but both my wife and I agreed not the best of experiences. We reflected that most people that evening where probably on the "full board" all inclusive package so perhaps it was simply people wanting to get value for money. We didn't return a second time as local restaurants offered better value for money and a much more quieter relaxed atmosphere.

A beer was roughly £4.50 , a bottle of wine started at £25.

In summary an excellent hotel to stay at, recommend for couples / adult family holidays less so for young kids as other than a small shallow pool there is virtually nothing else for the, to do.

A very nice hotel and we will definitely go back. The staff are nice and helpful.
The location is amazing, close to three beaches, one of them is for calamari president which can be used for a discounted rate (€15 for 2 beds and umbrella).
Short regular bus to the old town (€2).

The breakfast was very good with an amazing view.

Dinner was good.

Beautiful location, easy to get to the city on the local bus. Hotel is lovely, clean lots of areas to relax in. Food very good and lots of variety. Fabulous sunrise and sunsets to be seen all from the dining area. Helpful staff and no issues with sunbeds!

Awesome stay at the Argosy. Very friendly staff and found the room to be very cleanly and comfortable for our 3 night stay. The breakfast buffet was great, but learned it’s best to go early to avoid the larger crowds around 9-10. Would definitely stay here again on future Dubrovnik. You cannot beat the views from the property and the set up of the pools as you look out. Just footsteps to beach access. We always took the bus which was very convenient to head straight to Old Town in 15-20 minutes.

Lovely hotel in a commanding position overlooking beautiful vistas and islands.

Modern and well maintained. Great food selection and friendly staff. Even the trips and tours are competitive.

Decent pools and loungers.

Bus ride in to Old Town takes about 25 minutes and costs 2 Euro.

Excellent hotel and delighted we stayed in the Argosy.
Firstly the staff are excellent and very friendly and the hotels swimming pools and facilities are 5 star ,the views are beautiful.
The breakfast and dinner here are excellent and half board is a wise choice.
It's called a buffet but a better description would be a food hall , excellent choices and great quality.
Highly recommended

It’s great! Don’t want to tell anyone as I need this to be my secret hotel. We timed everything well so hit quiet times, at restaurant and pool. It’s a cracking place and the bus services is so good no reason to be any closer to the old town.

Also the place is so clean, the team to a fantastic job. The maids were just really helpful and lovely.

Beautiful hotel, with great rooms and very friendly/helpful staff.

There are two big outdoor pools and a small foot pool outdoors, as well as an indoor pool in the spa area.

The rooms were spacious and equipped with everything you'd need for your stay. The only thing that could be improved is the shower as the shower tray is completely flat and the glass screen is not long enough so water just floods out into the bathroom if you're not careful. We eventually figured out a method of showering that wouldn't flood the bathroom!

The breakfast is great too, lots of choice from eggs, bacon, fruit, cereals, hams, cheese, croissants and more.

The hotel is about a 15 min bus ride into Dubrovnik Old Town. The bus stop is just at the end of the road where the hotel is, so very convenient. And you can buy bus tickets from the hotel shop.

Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Dubrovnik.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Real luxury. The rooms, the view the facilities.
Lots of non diary milk options at breakfast would of been nice to have a little more vegan options - some vegan sauages or something.

Amazing hotel, highly recommend for a relaxing holiday!

My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights. Location, views, facilities and staff were absolutely fantastic. The hotel itself is modern, spacious and spotless clean. There are several indoor and outdoor areas to lounge and relax, as well as having two pools overlooking the sea which a mixture of loungers and cabanas.

The rooms are very spacious and bright, with good size comfortable beds. Ceilings are high which contribute to the brightness.

The breakfast buffet was hands down the best breakfast buffet I have ever witnessed. The selection of food was endless, but more importantly the quality was 10/10 - sometimes buffets can be very low standard but not the case here. The pool bar had a huge selection of food, which was also of very high standard. A lovely place to enjoy some lunch and look out over the sea.

Could not recommend this hotel enough, we will most certainly be returning!

Perfect hotel! It's 4* but is better than some 5* hotels we've stayed at. We stayed for seven nights. We arrived 2hrs before check in time and they let us check into our room early as the room was ready. The location and the views are amazing. There's a bus stop next to the hotel which takes you right down to the old town( ticket is €2, €1.7 if you buy in hotel store).
The room was spacious and equipped with everything you'd need for your stay. We chose a park facing room because there were no sea facing room available, but our room still had beautifull see view.
Staff was so helpfull and friendly. At the time of our stay, we've been the only Croatian guests so they made us feel very special. Breakfast and dinner was great. It's buffet style and the options were different every day. . The selection of food was endless, but more importantly the quality was 10/10.
The hotel is extremely well looked after, very clean. It has two outdoor and one indoor pools. Every evening there was live music and bar made perfect hugo spritz.
The parking in the front is public parking (it's charged I think €3 per hour). The hotel has private parking, staff will direct you to it and gave you ride back. We definitely recommend everyone to stay in this hotel.

Fantastic hotel in a lovely location, the views are amazing from the pool area, all the staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. We are staying on a half board basis and the restaurant has an excellent choice of food to suit any taste. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Dubrovnik.

We stayed for five nights. They have a better view of the sea than Lacroma and are cheaper. The pools are fantastic. It's not necessary to choose a sea facing room, we spend most of our time in the restaurant and pools where you have a better view.

My wife and I have loved our stay and the staff have been wonderful especially the two ladies in the Spa Angelina and Zorica- everyone must book as your on holiday and deserve a treat and can’t take your money with you!!

I have loved this hotel and the views are breathtaking/ breakfast was good and was nicer to be outside of the main town with all the crowds- I will be returning.
