Konoba "Pod maslinom"

Submerged into an ancient little old town of Opuzen, this romantic, authentic restaurant with true Adriatic seafood, is the best you can give yourself if in the area!

We were visiting the Konoba on a Tuesday afternoon after reserving a table a day earlier. The service was excellent as the waiter recommended us some classic Croatian dishes including a matching wine. The antipasti we ordered was automatically matched in size to our group size. The fish and the pasta were daily offers (different every day) and both were delicious. With 12€-20€ per meal it's absolutely okay and not too pricey. The location is very romantic and is right next to an old church and some olive trees in the old town of Opuzen.

What can I said. Before visiting here no one predict that this place will be so amazing. Place in center of old town, between old building and street art all over there.
Sea food was delicious, fresh and full of flavour. All people here ware so kind and friendly with superb sens of humor ;-)

Idyllic little seafood restaurant. Beautiful location at a small square with a big olivetree. Straight from romantic movies. We ate cooked prawn in garlic and grilled squid which were fantastic. We were treated to a small dessert at the end of our meal to end this memorable evening!

This restaurant is a hidden gem 💎- the best food and wine from the region. It’s hosted by a local family from Opuzen and the whole family helps out. They have a main menu but usually they have specials not on the menu.

I can recommend everything 😂- black squid risotto, scampi na buzaru, lignje (squid) on the grill, tuna steak, but also the tenderloin steak is delicious.

It is called Konoba pod Maslinom, because it “sits” below a very large and old olive tree. It’s a very rustic surrounding just off the main town square which is covered in white marble.
You can also come for a wine, they have a variety of local wines, with Opus and Plavac being the best on the menu (currently summer 2021).

We were passing on the way to Zagreb and found this place for a light dinner. We had tuna, sea bass and calamari. Great food and service. Very friendly and happy family owners. Superb Location on the open square. Highly recommended

A dalmatian feast! Delicious appetizer of local produce (pršut, cheese, olives and ruccola served with olive oil) and an equally tasty platter of grilled fish served with grilled vegetables. There wasn't any part of our dinner that wasn't of the highest quality.
The topping of the cake was the service: really welcoming and just the way it should be in any restaurant. English is spoken too.

Visited twice and thoroughly enjoyed the high quality cuisine which puts many resturants to shame. Very good portions, in a lovely town square. If you are looking for for a pizza go elsewhere. Come here for real home cooked food cooked with a passion. Do book as only a few tables are available.

Perfect place with delicious food, great service and friendly prices.

Tasty food and fair prices. We ordered calamari and chefs pasta (delightful tortellini with asparagus and cheese, mussels and prawns sauce). We got small, complementary dessert and it was fresh and delicious. Very nice service, we ordered in English with no problem. The place itself is small and cozy, could use some cleaning though, but don’t get discouraged-the food is great and you should try it! :)

Family run place, for sure the best (in surrounding) for trying a local food or wine/grappa in relaxing and cosy, home like atmosphere. Service is true hearted and welcoming, food fresh and delicious. Prices are very reasonable (fair).

Dont chose from the menu.. just let them bring you whatever they want😉 you wont regret it👍🤙
