Casa Romantica La Parenzana

The owner and his staff were fabulously friendly and all spoke English. The breakfast was delicious. Homemade orange chocolate croissants almost floated into my mouth, so fresh and light. The dinner menu is creative and every bite a delight. The staffs knowledge of local wines was extensive. The rooms are cozy and cooled quickly. A very happy place.

This is truely a romantic place! Our group stopped here while cycling the Parenzana trail. What a delight to arrive in the afternoon to this lovely spot bathed in the afternoon sun! The staff are lovely and the food and wine were perfect. We enjoyed the outdoor space for afternoon drinks and dinner. Breakfast was on the back patio where the sun rises in the morning. Again the food was lovely. We had room 1 which was huge! The bed was comfy and the views magical! Stay here if you can.

We’ve been only to the restaurant few times. Everything was good; the food, the presentation, the service, the location, fair price for what you eat. Really reccomend to visit this place while it is possible to eat outside, in the middle of the olive trees.

Excellent place. Everything we ordered was exceptional, light, tasty, and in decent portions. Even the desserts were delicious. The presentation of the food was also on another level.
The waiter was also incredibly careful about our comfort. Altogether, a calm place with delicious meals for reasonable price and beautiful terrace.

A gem in the beautiful landscape of Istria. The people who worked in the hotel as the ones who worked in the restaurant were always so warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our two nights at this romantic old land house. The rooms are old but to the point. Not luxuriously overequiped but spacious, cosy and clean. We had a TV, an aircon and slept very well.
We never ate for dinner outside. The food was outstanding and you could always taste the freshness of regional ingredients they cooked with. Same for the wine. The handmade pasta with truffles and beef... just marvellous.
One day we rented two bikes from the hotel, explored the area around and visited three wineries nearby.
All in all we had a great stay at the Casa Romantica that we will not forget. It surely hasn’t been our last time there. ;-)

The owners Alen and Gordan are amazing hosts. They were attentive and communication was easy throughout planning a stay for our large group. 10/10 service!

PS. Each room is equipped with AC, which made all the guests happy :)

We had a lovely stay here for 2 nights. The rooms are clean and the location is beautiful. It has a rural and relaxed feel to it. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food was delicious, the staff was professional and friendly. The pasta was homemade!

We came here for a 3 night stay - me, my boyfriend and our dog. First of all, they don’t charge extra for dogs, which is great. They were super nice to our dog. The breakfast is amazing. We also loved the location, since it is a bit away from the city, but still close to all the attractions and wineries. We can’t wait to come again! 😊

We ate here based on lots of recommendations and had a truly excellent dinner, including some outstanding truffle pasta, accompanied by a great local merlot.

The terrace where we ate looks out onto the tiny local village and makes for a very pretty setting.

The owner and staff could not have been more welcoming.

Marko, very nice and professional waiter. Food was fantastic. Restautant is somewhere between fine dining and traditional. Prices are fair. Book a table couple of days in advance. Probably best choice for dinner when visit north Istria.

We came for one night sleepover and were pleasantly surprised by the rooms. Clean, spatious and at minutes driving distance from few small towns, but yet isolated from traffic and crowd.

Cherry on top was a restaurant. Everything from soups, through main dishes and deserts was fabulous and tasty. Wine list is rather small but well choosen and represents quality Istrian wines one has to try.

Service was without mistake. Highly professional but friendly, helping but in a no way annoying.

We congratulate the owners of both the hotel and the restaurant for a very pleasant stay and we will always recommend them to everyone. Well done people!

Great food, excellent service, good accomodation .
In an old white stone building close to the Parenzana bike route from Trieste to Poreć you find yourself on a small island of wonderful taste and flavours, in the countryside close to Buje. Conducted by Ana and Marko, the restaurant offers a great choice of local dishes based on first class ingredients collected in the area and villages nearby or of own production, prepared with care and love , and few innovation from the tradition, to accomodate at the best the past into the present.
Very good istrian wine list, and local olive oils to taste.
Hotel has few , clean and basic rooms. Definitely reccomended for a great food experience, excellent and attentive service will surround you discretely to make you feel at home on the nice terrace.

We are so lucky to find this place. Restaurant is very cozy, very clean and with amazing service. The owner, Marko, greeted us personally and offered his help with anything we might need while traveling. Dishes with truffles are a must! Zucchini carpaccio was amazing! Oh, homemade cookies with coffee were the best I tried.

The restaurant is a jewel. A wide selection of local olive oils, a wine list featuring labels from top notch Istrian wineries, a menu full of pearls like the oxtail ragù with gnocchi... and the front garden seating under olive trees overlooking an old stone building. Definitely worth a detour.
