Amazing place, great for kids, with a great introduction given by the guide - we could even hold a piece of a meteor. Only thing to keep in mind is that the location is not on visnjan but 3km out of town, unlike what maps will tell you.

This Observatorium might not be a huge attraction for tourists, but if you're interested in science or astronomy of any kind, this is absolutely worth the walk. They sometimes even offer really interesting presentations, but you should probably check if they currently have anything planned before you go

3km away is part of zvjezdarnica Višnjan which is called zvjezdarnica Tičan with amazing stones, opservatory and little church and some old building, stairs near, great place for photographing full of many details

Observatory (Tican) is open to the public on Thursdays from 9pm. (Weather permitted). Dream come true if like myself. You dreamed of going into a real observatory and see the telescope & have a tour. Speak to the scientists. Lovely grounds too. Ideal for astrophotography if that interests you!
