MakaMaka Acai & Poke Bar

Great little spot for poke bowls, didn't try the acai bowls but those looked good too. Nice option and was a good mix of ingredients for the spicy tuna bowl.

i was roaming around split very late, trying to find something to satisfy my hunger when i stumbled upon this place. i love poke bowls, and finding this place excited me. i noticed the staff was cleaning up, so i asked if they were still serving. they kindly told me they were, but i had to take my food to go since they were closing - a fair deal! as soon as i saw spicy tuna on the menu, i knew i’d order it. the lady who took my order helped me arrange my meal - she suggested i choose half zucchini noodles and half rice since i couldn’t choose between the two. and she even helped me figure out which size would be best (they offer small and large). my food was done fairly quickly and when i saw it, my eyes lit up. it was so beautifully presented and i was so excited to eat it.
the two ladies working at the front were super friendly and cute.
the spicy tuna poke bowl was SO GOOD! the tuna tasted fresh and it was indeed spicy. the zucchini noodles were a great touch as well. i highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a healthy (and delicious) meal at a reasonable price.

Went here for an early lunch. The restaurant was empty. I thought the sushi rolls were better than the bowls. The Makamaka roll was the highlight. I had never tried a sushi roll with strawberries on it! The salmon bowl was underwhelming especially given the number of reviews it had.

The peanut butter superbowl cost €12 but it was a great size for the price. There is a generous amount of peanut butter included and they make the acai base fresh for each order which is pretty neat. Definitely worth checking this place out when in Split.

The pittaya bowl was very tasty, with a good amount of toppings and very fresh and filling. Sad that they changed their location and concept, seating is not as comfortable anymore and the place gives more of a "fast-food" type of vibe. Either way, good vegan breakfast.

We ended up here on holiday after far too many days of eating Croatian pastry and wanted something fresh. The restaurant was easy to find on the edge of old town and had a decent amount of outdoor seating as well as some indoor.

We were here for breakfast initially and both ordered fruit juices that were delicious. We then both ordered an açai bowl, there was the option to add a few different things such as almond butter and I did this. When the bowls arrived they were bursting with colour. The ingredient all fresh were arranged beautifully, it made me realise how appetising fresh fruit, nuts, seeds etc can look. It tasted great and the portion was very generous.

We decided to return for dinner later that day and ordered the poke bowl, there was a lot of additions you could make which was great. I added dried nori seaweed to mine. Again the dishes arrived with a burst of colour and the fresh salmon and tuna looked great. Everything was great and the mean left you feeling refreshed.

Staff were friendly enough, nothing worth mentioning but did their job well and were pleasant. The food was expensive but I didn't mind, the ingredient were good quality and worth paying for.

I confess, I went here 3 times in 2 days. I had an açaí bowl, cold pressed juices, a smoothie two days later with a sushi dinner with my friend before the opera in the middle.
I loved the decor, the menu, the service, and the owner was there every minute of the day!
It was all gorgeously presented and the freshness was impeccable.
They have sushi specials daily and the wine list is good too.
You can see by my photos, it’s good any time of day for a healthy meal.
And the wifi was good 👍

The food itself was delicious, the drinks were refreshing! And not a lot of other places doing poke bowls. But they run out of basic things like rice and quinoa towards the end of the day.

Have visited twice over the past week and it has been so so so good. First time we came for breakfast, I got the smoked salmon toast. Then tonight we went in and ordered takeaways, got a salmon tuna avo maki roll and a salmon poke bowl. The poke bowl was massive, such a generous portion (only got medium size). The fish is so fresh compared to any other I have had in Croatia so far. Highly recommend, great value for money and the restaurant has a great atmosphere! Friendly staff too. Thanks

I love poke so probably biased but I loved this place. Fish was super fresh and delicious, and there was a huge choice of combos with both the açai and poke bowls.

Wide range of smoothies, protein shakes and soft drinks too.

Staff very nice and efficient. Small place so might have to wait at busier times.

Ps all the bowls are the same size, choosing a L or XL gives you more protein accordingly, not the size of the bowl.

Healthy, inexpensive, and delicious. Unfortunately we got sick the first day we arrived in Split and looked for something healthy to boost our immune systems. I ended up going back here two more times as it was the perfect sustenance during our stay.

Great fresh sushi, a very welcoming cuzi place. We took the MakaMaka and bossonova rolls that were great. As a starter we took the tartar tuna on crispy rice. Delicious

After a week of local tasty but not so healthy food found this cafe by recommendation of my host. Friendly atmosphere, quite small place for maximum of 15 people I think. The waiter is very delicate, the food is fresh and cooked before your eyes. Very nice and clean ❤

Great poke healthy food place! The açai bowls are great!!!! There are different poke recipes but you can make your own. The juices are fresh and tasty. Really great overall

Super fresh and delicious poke bowl! Bowl was filled to the top, loads of food. Didn't love that the rice was hot underneath, but everything was so delicious that it didn't matter so much. Lovely looking restaurant, very comfortable and stylish. Waiters were polite and spoke great English and food came out super quick. Perfect stop to grab some lunch, would definitely recommend.

Great place , very cozy with a very super friendly stuffs. They put lot of passion in their work and you can clearly see that from how beautiful and accurate each dish is prepared . Highly recommended !!!
By the way, I’m vegetarian but even as vegan you can order lot of different things including a vegan spicy Mayo sauce .

I got an açaí bowl and went back later that same day to get a poke bowl. The açaí bowl was exceptional (probably the best one that I ever had and I have tried many) and the poke bowl was really good as well! The store was really busy during my first visit, but I only waited for around 20 minutes. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!! :)
