One of the best views of Hvar town and Pakleni islands. Easy one hour hike from the town center. Just follow normal road. I recommend you to go for a sunset and bring some water to stay hydrated.

Amazing view of Hvar town and Pakleni islands, can be hiked or driven. Not much of the original fort remaining. Road is very narrow and twisty, but good surface, take care.

Getting here was a bit scary due to the one lane road and tight turns for about a kilometer or two. The view was stunning. We went at sunset and got to watch the sun go down as the sky lit up in a pink shade.

Just an amazing spot for a sunrise hike. It’s a quite rocky route, but we got there slowly in around 40 mins.
The views are so so gorgeous, the hike up is definitely worth it!

Incredibly beautiful views at the top!!! A little hard to find the start of the hiking trail, but follow where you see the entrance on google maps and you will see it marked by a red circle immediately by the main road on the right. Not many people hike this as it is steep and it gets so hot here in summer. We did it and it was a workout, but it was WORTH it. You will love it! Wear comfortable shoes, it is possible in sandals too (I did it 😅) you will just have to be careful not to slip. If you’re looking to see Napoleon fortress, it’s nothing spectacular itself and it is also closed off to the public as it is now used as an astronomical base.

40min walk from town, the views are much better than from the fortress, and it's free!

One of the favourite places to visit on the island. Truly amazing. It's a historical landmark so there's really nothing much to say about it, but it's magical. My recommendation is to visit early in the morning or one hour before the sunset (the golden hour) , view is just breathtaking and the colours are so vibrant. The are few benches the you can sit on and enjoy the magnificent views of the devil's islands and other islands around Hvar. Its is a little bit far uphill but is totally worth every step.

Not too busy during sunset. Hike was not long (maybe 1/2 km) but very steep

Awesome view point. Everything has been said by others. Drive up in a car, rent a scooter, hike up, whatever. Grab a bottle of wine or a few beers and enjoy. We were here on a July Saturday for sunset and were the only ones. Pictures cant capture it all - you have a 180 degree view of everything you'd want to see. Coming here mid day in peak summer might be a bit too hot (it's been cloudless and over 30C/90F the entire time).

Best view on town Hvar. It's not so far to hike and I did a circle hiking tour where I climbed from the west and hike down on the east side of the Napoleon fortress.

Highest point around Hvar.
Road will take you 53mins
Footpath about 25mins just
follow the red and white circles to the top.

Best view over Hvar and the entire Pakleni islands archipelago. The road is steep, narrow and bumpy but the place is worth a visit for a stunning photograph

Amazing views and peace. Reluctantly posting this as I'd rather it stayed as quiet as it is. Was not able to visit the observatory and not even sure if it's possible.

I recommend wallking!!! Driving gets challenging in seveeral spots, but doable.
Napoleon fortress is now used as observatory, no public access.
That said, the view from observatory is amazing, and a must see.

Very nice place for the view and sunset. It is not allowed to visit the Forth. So only great view over Hvar.
