A hagyomány szerint 1735-ben kezdték építeni, a felsőlengyendi középkori templom köveinek felhasználásával ezt a szép templomot.
Környezete is gondozott, nagyon sok szép szakrális szoborral, feszülettel. A templomudvarban egy nagyon érdekes kétkorpuszos kereszt is látható.
