Tunkoló Tütü Badacsony

If you want to eat really good hungarian food this place is perfect. We had a sheep stew, the meat was well cooked, soft and fresh. The waiter was really nice, asked us about our journey, told us some jokes and he was smiling all the time. The lemonade was also fresh and tasty, made out of lemons and limes. We will surely be back!

We had a gala time here. I initially pondered this restaurant's high ratings, as its portions and environment didn't quite seem to justify its prices, as compared to other restaurants we'd been eating at. The service, which started out compassionate and friendly, developed to becoming absolutely generous and heart-warming, however, and I could understand why Tunkoló Tütü Badacsony had made such a positive impression on so many. I wouldn't hold them to always achieving this but we had the luck to be plied with several dishes to try, while its owner and staff made us feel so welcome, it really made the day and trip for our group of six :-) Dear Tunkoló Tütü Badacsony, we wish you all the best and thank you so much!! <3 <3

The best BBQ I have ever had! The meals are a little bit unique and delicious. They are made by high quality ingredients. I felt like in rural France sitting in the wicker chair and listening to French music but with Hungarian tastes and hospitality. They even had a bird nest with chicks in it and their mom was constantly bringing them food. The staff was really nice. I think that this is a family business. They put their heart and soul in it that's for sure! I will come back here when I will visit Badacsony again.

This IS the absolute, absolute best restaurant we’ve been to in Hungary. The food (beautifully done) and place is already wonderful, yet the people there made us glow. They are some of the kindest and most generous people we’ve ever met at a restaurant!! Definite must-visit!

No words to explain how wonderful our experience was here. For one, the area was pleasant and a cute place to sit in. True, the bathrooms weren't in the best state, but it wasn't a bother at all. Second, the food was delicious and varied – we thoroughly enjoyed it. And third was the kindest staff we've come across. Their joy spread throughout the whole of our table and their generosity left us lost for words. Even though we wanted so to come back the next day, the conditions just weren't right. We felt so bad! But we have told ourselves, whenever there is the chance to be in Badacsony again – we will be there!!!!

BBQ or stew, your choice, best quality around the lake. Giant portions, best taste (even the salads).

We went for dinner and had an absolutely amazing experience! Lovely atmosphere, great service, and delicious food! Everything we ordered was so good, the goulash and mushroom stew especially. Highly recommend visiting and having a good meal here!

Absolutely lovely. Friendly Badacsony experience with trademark host humor and extremely tasty dishes. The mushroom pörkölt and the mixed BBQ plate were amazing, daily special was Bean-Gulyás and Székelykáposzta, I'd recommend those as well. Dine here, of you like authenticity and a welcoming atmosphere.

Menu is simple - which is a good sign - goulash/stew or bbq dishes, some selection for vegans and vegetarians as well. Goulash and stews are great - we tried goulash, beef stew and mushroom stew, it was served with sourdough bread and haluski, everything was delicious.

Kind and helpful staff; we had a delicious lunch meal.

best mushroom stew ever 😍 if you’d like to taste some traditional hungarian foods, that’s your place! it has a special atmosphere with the lights and the great music.

BBQ from the smoker, amazing stews, fantastic atmosphere, heavenly desserts. Don't forget the super-friendly staff. 6 stars. We went back to Badacsony just to have dinner there (from the other end of lake Balaton).
