Steamhouse Cafe

Very nice place with a great view of the parliament. A perfect place to enjoy a coffee and spend a good time. Recommend to explore this place, it has great vibes. They also have quality tea besides the good coffee.

The only drawback is the rude message on the table not to use computers or have classes there, but one sitting there should enjoy the view. However, there is a “working section” too.

A little hidden gem in the train station! Worth a quick stop if you’re traveling to/from the station. I tried the mocha with oat milk and it was perfectly made - smooth, used high quality beans and chocolate, and the the latte art was so pretty. Although inside the station, the seating area was quaint, comfortable, and had a great view of the Parliament!

The coffee is great! I’ve also tried chai latte and it has these lovely sugary crispy things on top, that made it ever so unique and tasty.

Me and my friend were looking for a nice place to eat lunch. Very nice view and kind staff. The sandwiches tasted great and the coffee was very good. Would definitely recommend!

We drank a flat white and a cappucino (the cappucino was made with an alternative milk) here at Steamhouse Cafe.

The flat white was from guatemalan brewed coffee beans and was quite strong and extremely tasty. The cappuccino was from kenyan brewed coffe beans which gave the coffee a smoother taste.

The staff is kind and you can enjoy an excellent view to the Danube and the Parliament across the river. We recommend to stop here for a coffee and charge your batteries so that you can further explore the wonders of our great capital.

A great place for coffee, drinks, light meals etc. in the spacious and attractively converted former market building. Understandably, the window seats, with fine views across the Danube to the Parliament building tend to be occupied quickly.

Lovely little spot for lunch inside the market hall. Nice coffee and bagels. If you're in Buda definitely stop by

My favorite coffee place in Budapest! Great view on the Parliament building, democratic prices, loyalty system, kind cheerful staff. And their variable soup menu is a definite plus!

A wonderful small and great coffee store, which is located in a old market hall. They take care about their coffee beans which they use and you will get some informations about them while you enjoy your delicious coffee.

DRINK AND FOOD
They offer some different snacks and cakes as well. But the main focus is on the different coffee specialities. As usual I ordered a esspresso, which was a Doppio for 790 HUF. The taste of the espresso was perfect, creamy and very intensive. It was fruity and had a little bit of cocoa notes as well. I found it very interesting that you will get a little sheet of paper, which had some information about the coffee beans which they actually use. That is a very good idea.

SERVICE
It is a partial self service. You had to order directly at the counter but they bring the drinks and dishes to your table. Nice and good concept because you can take a seat and wait. The waitress was nice and helpful as well and it was a pleasure for me to order the drinks.

CAFÉ AND LOCATION
The cafe is located in a old market hall which is already renovated on the second level. There are some sitting places directly at the cafe but they have no onsite sitting area.

Very good attention, tasty, original and different desserts, beautiful view to the Parliament... love this place! We will come back for sure when in Budapest.

Easily accessible location. Cafe inside an old train station building, great view across the river. Friendly staff. Coffee was excellent, so as the breakfast. The price was reasonable.

Quiet place with great view to the Danube and the House of Parliament. Great selection of breakfasts and drinks. The service was perfect, quick, very polite and welcoming. I had chestnut latte and it was very tasty.

If you want to see Budapest's Pairlament and don't freeze outside (yesterday were four degrees), go to this super nice place. It is original and very kind. And the coffee was one of the best in Budapest. Highly recommended!

Best Mocha Latte in Budapest. The chocolate they used for their hot chocolates and Mochas is top notch! Delicious croissants and pretzels as well. Very friendly staff!

Drinking cappucino with this location?🤤Could think of better option! The scenery is just above amazing and wonderful! It is definitely worth place to visit if you're in Budapest. I liked their Cappucino and Flat White. Surely, I will come back🫠🫶🏻

We had a delicious breakfast at the Steamhouse Café. Especially the coffee was great. The staff is very friendly & attentive, the atmosphere very relaxed. ☕🥐🥓🍳

We had breakfast twice in there and we really enjoyed. Really good coffee and amazing Greek iogurt. Yummy vegan porridge. Charming staff. They explained us the history of the building and gave us tips to enjoy our mini holidays in Budapest! Thank you guys! Definitely a place to come back!

I was pleased with the atmosphere (although only a few seats have window view to the river and the parliament) the coffees were nice and the food menu seems legit. I'd come back to try the breakfast items too!
