Bastianos Bunaken Dive Resort

Absolutely incredible experience! I was five days at Bastianos Dive resort to do the Open Water Diver Course. Big thank you to my instructors Caro & Rick for giving me support, safety and professionalism. It is the ideal place if you want to do scuba diving and snorkeling with impressive coral walls, a high diversity of fishes and turtles everywhere only a few minutes from the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff went over and beyond to help make my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to discover the amazing marine life in Bunaken.

I spent 4 lovely days here. The staff, the instructors and the resort managers are really welcome and take care of you daily. I did my AOW and Nitrox certification with Paul, it was simply perfect. The diving spot are amazing, soo much turtles each dive. Good mood and care.

Exceptional service! Your equipment is all taken care of, the food is tasty, and at the end of your stay you receive a printout of your dive sites, depths, and times for your logbook. And the diving itself is excellent: turtles galore.
Equipment rental is not included in the fees, but it's cheap. Only 20Euro!

I had a great time at Bastianos Bunaken! I did my PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses here and Caro was the perfect teacher. And there are so many fish and turtles to see in the water, it is truly amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for diving.

Was very pleased with resort after being basically shut down for a few years because of covid. We went during feb so the weather wasnt the best but warm and friendly staff makes it a perfect place to just unwind. Food was not only good but plentiful ( almost to much ) tuna steak for lunch was great. The diving was of course fantastic even in bad weather and crew was there to help. Plan on going back during dry season. Oh yeah rooms were simple but very nice and very clean.

Really nice place to spend the vacation. They offer different variations of indonesian as well as western meals. The staff and the managers are super nice. The two managers gave us so many tips about the different diving locations. The staff took really good care of the diving equipment and showed me so many animals I would have never seen without them. Thanks for the wonderful time!

The resort staff and dive crews all work their tails off to give you a pleasant vacation and amazing dives. The resort manager was always around and easy to find, and any time an issue came up, they made sure it was resolved quickly.

The dive crews know the dive sites well, and can show you all the little critters you might otherwise miss. If you have only dove in the carribean (like me up to now) you'll be seeing new fish and critters on every dive.

Some small things you should be aware of:
Wi-Fi is only available near the main area of the resort, and connections vary from slow to non existent when everyone is trying to post to FB.

The coffee options are limited, so you can go with an instant mix, or just let the grounds settle. One fellow traveler brought a press and seemed happy with it.

The front office had a large number of plug adapters available, but you should make sure all your electric devices are rated for 230V. (Including your power bar, I may have thrown the breaker a couple times before I figured that out.). The room I was in had a limited number of outlets, and I ended up unplugging a lamp to charge my devices.

Overall I had a great time and I can't wait to go back again.

Great Dive resort. In the biggest beach in Bunaken. Can do snorkel right in front if it. Went diving with them. Big boats and very well organized

As you can see we got married over there,I think we were the first western couple to do that,the staff build every thing from scratch bought flowers from Manado, they even had a vicar from and bought him out by boat to perform the ceremony, I have been diving out there for year's and still love it last time was 2016 and still doesn't disappoint love the people and food give it another couple of years and I'll be back

Great place to dive and put the feet up. The staff went to great lengths to ensure our stay was a great one. Be sure to try the night dive!
