Good place to visit with family. 3 hr drive from Bangalore. People can see elephants after 4.30 pm. Suggest to come over this place at 3 pm and spend some time in small park and then see kumki elephants and return at 5 pm. You can bring your own snacks and have it in park. No restrooms available. Charges Rs. 30 separate for park and elephant sightseeing separately. Car parking charges Rs. 10.

- Superb place, well maintained by A.P Forest dept.
- Went as one day trip, also covering nearby Chemilichenu water falls.
- Two trained (Kumki) elephants at the camp.

This little known elephant camp is in AP, about 150+kms from Bengaluru and takes about 3-3.5hours to reach depending on the traffic. Barring few patches, the roads are fantastic.

There are no restaurants or restrooms or anything at the camp so carry enough food or water or finish your business on one of the many restaurants on the way.

There were two tuskers Vinayak (54) and Jayanth (56) that are kumki (elephants that are used to train other elephants). I went in the evening around 5 by which the elephants were entering the camp from the forests which is when you're allowed to see them.

Kids will love this place.

Kandinya Elephant sanctuary is just 35kilometres from Kuppam, Andhrapradesh. It was an Wonderful visit. We didn't expect we could spend so much good time here. By the time we reached to the spot it was 5 in the evening exactly at the time Elephants just returned back from the forest to sanctuary. There are Two Elephants Jayanth & Vinayak. There are trainers & guards to take care of Elephants there. We had a chance to click pictures with elephants. Those are so Friendly to visitor's.

So if you have a Chance to visit please go for it.
Don't miss the Wonderful experience

Good elephant camp! They go to the forest for work and come in the evening around 6pm. After that for 1 hour visitors are allowed near elephants. 30rs entrance tickets. Apart from elephants there is a small children's park! Nothing much to do! Not worth visiting from far away places!
