National Institute of Technology, Agartala is autonomous under NIT being an act passed by the Parliament. the institute has also been ranked 80 in the 'Engineering" category by NIRF 2022. Moreover, the institute has 10+ departments, 200+ faculty, 30+ programmes, and 3,500+ students.

NIT Agartala - the institute of national importance.The college contains very vast infrastructure. All the roads, footpaths, sitting arrangements,etc. deserve very nice ratings.

This college is well safe and having Tripura State Rifles adjacent to college boundary.
Atmosphere and environment is very calm and peace.

At the end of final year you will have unforgettable moments and memories.

Additional:
Do not expect Tripura as some disturbed or what you have heard from other people who do not have proper knowledge about the state.
Tripura is well literate state, a peaceful state,people whether Bengali or Tribals all are cooperative specially for other state students.
Just remember do not roam towards unknown place during election,rally,protest,counting day to avoid unfortunate.
Weather is good .
NITA hostels are well managed,very good infrastructure.Campus is greenery, placements are very good .

National Institute of Technology Agartala is a technology-oriented institute of higher education established by India's Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India in Agartala, India. It is one of the 30 (thirty) National Level Technical Institutes setup by the Govt. of India.

The college was established in 2009 spread over an area of 29 acres. The Institute is autonomous under NIT being act passed by the parliament. NIT Agartala has ranked 75 out of 100 Engineering colleges (NIRF 2020).

NIT Agartala provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes under 13 departments. The courses include BTech, MTech, MCA, MBA, and PhD degrees.

The students who want NIT Agartala admissions have to fulfil the eligibility criteria and should have cleared the entrance exam. The entrance exams accepted by the institute are JEE Main/ CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ GATE/ IIT JAM . The admission process for all the programmes at National Institute of Technology, Agartala is conducted through an online mode.

Awesome college,best someone could imagine. Faculty is good. Things are getting way better in this college. Even this college has improved it's ranking a lot. While last it it was ranked 12 among nits , it has been ranked 10th this year. Seeing the atmosphere around this college you feel you have come for a safari.
Just get admission and you will never regret.

It is one of the life time memorable feeling .all are teacher and faculty are very good and well professional lots of greenery and birds you can easily found. People are good , if you are out side of Tripura and West Bengal might be language problem ( all are typically bengali speaking people )

I spent here 12 years of my life.So i know the value of this place.
But Little transportation problem during night especially after 8pm.
Otherwisr the environment n campus is all good.just proud to be nitiAns

I feel very grateful to be a part of such a reputed institution. I want to thanks each faculty, specially Production Department of NITA for their guidence and immense support in this journey. NITA provided me a better place to explore myself.

If there is any issue then that is the connectivity issue which still persists due to gross negligence on part of Central govt.

But times are changing, Agartala is already connected with Broad Guage rail Connectivity apart from being well connected via Air.

There are regular flights from New Delhi, Kolkata, guwahati and other cities.

Other reason might be the stigma related with North East among mainlanders which is grossly pathetic and mostly persist due to lack of communication and interaction between people

NIT Agartala is one of the top 15 NITs of India . It's has greenery campus of more than 300 acres .it provides you the best envoirment for study and develop your technical skills.
It has top class facilities and infrastructure .
