Kuleshwar Mahadev

This is the bhancha of famous mama bhancha mandir of Rajim. This is located near Rajiv Lochan mandir. It is a great view and it's always a pleasure to visit here. It is situated in the middle of Mahanadi river. Earlier you had to cross the river by foot to reach the temple. Now there is a bridge commonly known as Lakshman Jhoola.

Peace, tradition and devotion join here and create a "TRIVENI of Bhakti". New lakshman jhoola is quite long (I think longer than the nayapara-rajim bridge). Can be reached via Rajiv lochan Mandir campus or a by-pass road, which ends at The starting of MAMA-BHANCHA mandir. Parking is not that good, one can walk from the ending of the bridge to reach there ....must go...HAR HAR MAHADEV 🙏

Kuleshwar Mahadev Temple situated In Rajim Chhattisgarh, the temple situated in a small island In Mahanadi,near by Laxman jhula,very popular place of Rajim, in the rainy season there is beautiful view of this temple, because the rivers flow that time very highly level, and surrounding the whole temple everywhere you can see the River.

Kuleshwar Temple is the Temple of Shiva. This Temple is situated at the center of River. In rainy season, temple is submerged in water. A Laxman Jhula is recently constructed so you can go to the temple at the rainy season also. Near by there is sangam of three rivers Pairi, Sondur and Mahanadi. Rajim mela is organized by the Govt. of Chhattisgarh in Maghi Purnima to Mahashivratri i.e. Feb/March.

The 8th century temple is situated in the river, accessible after monsoon. The peepal tree is simply majestic!

Between 3 river holy temple of lord Shiva.....very much famous in rajim chhattisgarh.

Must visit, Mahadev temple is located at Triveni Sangam as seen from picture, very calm and spiritual environment. We had to take up survey from Archeological Survey of India. There is bridge under construction that would hopefully allow access during rains when Rivera run full. Facilities could be improved without sacrificing nature.

Rajim is considered the perfect place to witness Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage. Also known as the ‘Prayag’ of Chhattisgarh, Rajim is the spot of the union of three holy rivers - Mahanadi (Chitrotpala), Pairi and Sondur. This point of meeting of these three rivers is also referred to as the ‘Triveni Sangam’. The Chhattisgarh Kumbh Mela takes place over here from Magh Poornima to Mahashivaratri every year. Pilgrims come together from several places across the country to take part in this auspicious event. The town is also home to various historical monuments that attract prominent historians.

I visited kuleshwar temple during the Rajim kumbh 2020. It was good to see the temple which is very old. What is very beautiful about the temple is that it is situated under a very big and amazing Banyan tree, some of the branches of which is dcenetly down so one can play with the tree (if one is crazy like me :p)
As I visited during the Rajim kumbh (which happens every year for a brief time culminating with mahashivartri), the temple was surrounded by all the elements of an Indian Mela; some girl walking on the rope, Naga Babas visiting the place, people selling unique "kand/ jadibuti" etc. And like Ganga Aarti in Varanasi, there was a beautiful setup for an evening aarati around 7:00 p.m. with lingas decorated and lined up at the river edge.

Very old temple, but more interesting is the Peepal tree beside the temple. Very old and huge tree. Peaceful environment, away from the crowded city.
But recent construction of Laxman Jhula which started near this temple has made it a very noisy place.
Rivers flowing alongside have very fresh water flowing.

It is a very good place to visit the temple but public should take care of cleanliness around the temple.
