Kodanad Wild Life Sanctuary

They say its a rehab centre for orphaned animals which i am not sure, saw a few elephants being chained there. The maouts were pretty cool with the elephants though. It's a peaceful place to bring your kids and to walk around and show them a few animals. For people who have visited the Trivandrum Zoo, this is nothing. The place is well maintained and very clean. The ticket cost is around 20 for an adult . Parking fee is 25rs. There is an eco shop near the oarking area where u get good quality honey, tea, coffee, black rammed, pepper , etc. You also get some basic snack items and basic drinks too . It's not a must visit place from my pov.

Elephants are tamed here. You can see Deer and Sandal farm. Entry is by pass. There is enough parking lot. Roads to here is narrow. I

Good place to see. But there is no proper road and infrastructure developed by government. Fee is little high 30 RS.
