The boat journey is awesome. However the boatmen may charge you for minimum 16 passengers if numbers are less. There is an urgent need to take some protective measures for the rock carvings. As the rock is a weak sandstone, it is fastly erodable. The toe cutting by the river shall also be checked.

Chabimura is famous for its panels of rock carving on a steep mountain wall on the bank of Gomati River.
The biggest idol of Durga in rock carvings is about 20 feet high. The carvings images date back to 15-16th centuries.
Beautiful images are curved with a lot of dexterity on the rocky faces of Devtamudra which is steep at 90 degrees.
Hiring a boat from Chabimura campsite is the best way to get here.
