Historical place. Must visit. This is one of the shaktipeeth in India. You will get free food as well, however it is little on the spicy side. Better Carry your own food. The temple is not maintained as it should be. From the structure it is evident that the temple was razed by invaders. It is a day tour and you will enjoy the drive.

What a beautiful place it is, i cant tell in words
As per shiva puranam and sthala puranam this place has a lot of history
Upper jaw part of sathi devi has fell here and this this become one of the shakthi peetas
But in the time of moughals this temple has faced a lot of demolishment
There is a Dargah inside the temple as well
Goddess is in roudra rupam here
There is a museum out side the temple which is a must watch
Dont miss it
It has many sculptures which won many awards
They have huge collection of hindhu sculptures explaining our traditions
Mandi nandi heads are cut down hear at the time of moghals which clearly shows the cruel nature of them at that time
Laddu counter is available if you want to purchase Prasadam
Huge parking space available

Good experience. Understood the significance and the way rhe idol had to be hidden for the sake of muslim invaders. Note there is a mosque inside the temple itself. Not sure how our temple priests have accepted or the rulers who invaded forcedly kept it. Someone please dig the history and show with proofs on what happened to the entire world.

Known as Dakshina Kasi, this place is a must-visit to experience the divinity of Lord Shiva and Ammavaru. I'm surprised at how our ancestors crafted the lingas with different materials. It is an architectural masterpiece.

It is one of the ancient temple built with red stone and wonderful architecture. There are nine shiva lingas here and jogulamba was the 5th shakti peeta. Which was located near the bank of krishna and tungabhadra sangamam. Pinda pradanam's are also do here. It was a fabulous experience with my family by visiting the hole temple.

This is really an amazing place to see. This is also one of the Shaktipeetha.

We'll be amazed to look at the infrastructure of the Bala Brahmeshwara temple which is right next to the Sri Jogulamba Ammavari Temple.

We also get to see the Kanch Kamakshi temple here which has the Gold and Sliver lizard. Also there's Ekambareshwara temple right opposite to this.

One must definitely see the temple there's a lot of history, marvels and wonders this temple holds.

Note: Don't throw plastic anywhere around the temple premises. Please use the dustbins. Let's maintain cleanliness and culture.

Very nice place to visit . I travelled from hyderabad by train to SBBJ Railway station and then by share auto the temple.

Reached by the time temple had closed and so waited for 1 hour for the temple to open.

There is also a free anna satram , a free food for piligrims and so i had my lunch there.

The temple and the ambuence is good. Not maintained well in terms of reinstating the broken statues etc., by the govt or any other governing body though.

Tungabhadra river is very nearby .

Very powerful temple! If you are someone who trusts god it’s for you! It’s one of the shaktipeetham among many! One need to visit this in their lifetime! It’s present in some kind of remote place where it’s nearest city is kurnool which is some 20km apart roughly! From Hyderabad there is a direct train to that place but shin you need to take an auto to temple which is roughly 14 kmfor which auto ppl charge 35/-
Free lunch will be provided by temple that’s the only option of food which is available there in recent times a bit of development is visible but needs to be developed a lot!
Close to temple Tungabhadra river flows which is mesmerising to watch! There is also boating where they will take you to other side of shore and bring you back! It’s treat to watch when river is flowing to full extent!

Jogulamba Temple is a sacred site with a rich history. The temple has a great history and it is situated beside the river Tungabadra.I think this is the only temple which has a single entry for dargah and temple. Its unique architecture and spiritual ambiance make it a must-visit destination for devotees and tourists alike.

Very nice and sacred place for Hindus. It is one of the shaktipeetas . A beautiful ancient temple built with red stone with south indian architecture. I think there are 7 temples you can see from top of water dam . You will get positive vibes inside Lord shiva temple. But Some of the statues are destroyed by invaders. one bad thing is still mosque is inside the temple complex.

You will find old architecture inside the temples and it is one of the sakthi peetam (upper teeth) of 18.And u can also experience the atmosphere and nearby passing river Tungabhadra .
Story Behind the Jogulamba Devi Temple. As per the story, the wife of Sage Jamadagni 'Renuka' used to bring water from the river Tungabadhra daily for the pooja.
