Konaar Guest House Hostel

We spent 5 days in this friendly atmosphere, best experience ever. I highly recommend konar hostel to whoever wants to have a fabulous trip to hormoz island .

We stayed with Faz & Maryam for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Their house is in a quiet area, very cozy and has a nice atmosphere with lots of beautiful decoration. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower had hot water.
Faz helped us organize a good motorbike and gave us good recommendations for sightseeing. Maryam cooks super delicious food.
We left our car at the car park of the harbor of Qeshm. Parking was super cheap - 0,3€ per day.

Relaxed, beautifully decorated and clean Guesthouse. One of the only places on Hormuz with real beds and western toilet. The owners Faz and his wife Maryam are very friendly and helpfull. Faz is perfect english speaking, one can have nice and interesting talks. They cook delicious iranian food if you like. They were great with our kids! We enjoyed very much beeing their guests!
Bei Faz und Maryam ist es fast wie zuhause, nur viel gemütlicher! Man wird sehr herzlich umsorgt, gut beraten und führt interessante Gespräche! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Super friendly husband and wife team make you feel right at home in this most comfortable house on this island where there is a shortage of decent accommodations for tourists. Although everyone in Iran is friendly, Faz and Maryam go beyond. They helped us with our ongoing travels and gave us lots of tips on where to go. We felt one hundred percent at home and had the most wonderful time at Konaar guesthouse.

Lovely place with lovely hosts. The house is so comfortable, full with beautiful details, most of them made by Mariam hands. Taste and healthy food.
Beeing in Konaar was a wonderful experience, exploring the lanscape, meeting people, watching artists painting, or just having a tasty tea and relaxing. A place to come back.

A cozy atmosphere, good wifi which is rare in this island. I stayed for 6 days and didn’t want to leave
But the most important is the owner : he will work hard on making your trip absolutely memorable. He will give you incredible tips ( where to eat, see the sunset, change money, where to rent best bikes ) and hidden gems of the island and will help . Without him my experience in Hormuz will have been a nightmare. He made sure I had the best stay ever .

Gem of a place. We visited in June and LOVED everything about Konaar Guesthouse; It is close to the sea and close to stores, they cook delicious seafood, a super friendly husband wife team who run the place, very comfortable beds and clean house/environment. This place is on our list of our home away from home. Thank you for an amazing experience.

After few nights in Qeshm, this place completely improved my impression of the South and co tributed to those outstanding moments of my second trip to Iran. The place has only two rooms for guests which makes the vibe very cosy and private. Roomas are spacious, with fan, the AC is in the common area where you can sit and chat over the tea or snack. Ran by lovely couple which had their portion of trveling done in the past, so they understand whoat visitors need. The island itself is totally worth visit and I wish I gave this place more than one night. Try to book upfront as loads of local tourists are visiting the island recently. I truly hope to see Faz and Maryam again.

This guest house is a renovated old house and it's designed with colorful paintings. I had a really good time there and can't forget the food! Thank you Farzad for all the help and Maryam for your hospitality and tasteful food and brilliant art.

We had an amazing time in Faz and Maryam's house during Nowruz. The place is so cosy and really amazing. More than that they were so helpful to find solutions when our boat to Qeshm was cancelled.

If you plan to visit Hormuz island you should definitely stay with Faz and Maryam. Their place is beautiful and quiet, well-situated and clean. They are tremendously helpful and yet you get your privacy! Also the food is delicious - altogether a real treasure of a guesthouse :)

The owners of this beautiful guesthouse, Faz and his wife Maryam, made our days in Hormoz a delight. From the first moment you feel at home, they help you organizing your stay, cook amazing food and are there to answer your questions over a cup of tea.

Everything was amazing, with dear maryam and farzad . We spent three nights in this hostel and these three nights turned out to be our best trip.everything was perfect, our room , wc , garden , breakfast , …
I'm going back to this hostel again.

We stayed at Farzad's and his wife with my family (including grand-parents and small children) for the Iranian New Year (March 2022). The guesthouse is clean, comfy and well decorated and has a very nice courtyard. Farzad did absolutely everything so that we would have an unforgettable time in Hormouz and, thanks to him, we did! He came to pick us up at the pier on his motorbike and had arranged for a tuk-tuk to be there to take us to his guesthouse. At night, he took us to a delicious traditional seafood restaurant, at a walking distance from his place. The next day, he found a nice tuk tuk to take us around the island, which is so difficult at this time of the year and prepared breakfast for us at 6 am so that we could leave early and avoid the crowd. In the afternoon, he recommended another delicious restaurant and even checked in to see if everything was fine. Finally he helped us to buy the tickets to Qeshm , which proved complicated because direct boats were cancelled due to bad weather. So in another words, not only is the guesthouse a very nice and cozy place but Farzad is also incredibly hospitable, friendly and patient. I wish we had stayed longer, we will definitely stay there again and recommend it to other travelers.

I came to Hormuz for a couple of days but ended up staying four nights. Konaar Guest House is not a hostel, it’s a home. Faz and Maryam meet you with such love and hospitality, and their home is filled with warmth. The rooms are tidy, the beds comfortable, breakfast amazing and atmosphere very chill and relaxed. Faz will also give you all the best tips for the island, where to eat and where to go. I will be back for sure!

Beautifully decorated guest house and rooms, amazing homemade food and the most helpful host who can give you any information you can possibly ask about the island. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
