Varzaneh Sand Hills

I was there with some friends from Germany and Switzerland staying the whole night in the desert camping and sitting around the firecamp till the dawn watching the amazing night sky of the desert.It's a super cool place to spend a nigh.

The Sand Hills south of Varzaneh are beautiful.
If you fancy some off-road riding in deep sand, you can exercise here.

Varzaneh Sand Hill , a place where you can chill over and enjoying the sound of wind during watching amazing sky and stars. I was a bit lucky to find a local guy who made my experience in Varzaneh Sand hills unforgettable. we surfed dessert by his Safary car all around and enjoy our fire-made local dish and tea.

You can camping, have a picnic, do sandboarding and more, visit the salt lake :)

All along from Varzaneh until Hasanabad village is just sand dunes. It makes an amazing landscape when you just climb a hill and see all the dunes until far in southeast horizon. As it has been said, in average it has the highest sand dunes in Iran, which is seeming to be very true, as hiking some of the dunes takes an hour of your time. Very much suggested to go to southern old road deviation to see the virgin untouched dunes. You can easily see milky way at nights. Do not forget about the sunsets!! It is not a typical famous desert. Therefore, still a secret attraction. Under some dunes, you can see the remaining of old civilizations. There are lots of unearthing under some of the dunes

It is an amazing place to visit during the sunset, some facilities like places to sleep, toilet and more but in July it looks like almost all closed

Stay for night and enjoy the full of star sky

This is the reason why you should come to varzaneh to enjoy the desert and it sandhills.

Wonderful sand hills. But you need special shoes to avoid sand into your shoes. Restaurant doesn't work. Just for breakfast. No shop. Be equipped.

First time in sand dune for me. If there's clear sky you will see the lot of stars.

WoOoOoW. It was really nice and amazing. At this dessert you can touch stars . there is a big restaurant with Iranian dishes.

From Isfahan to Varzaneh is 90 km and is very suitable for backpackers and hitchhikers to go Varzaneh desert, You can find a residence there and can camp at night in the desert and get acquainted with the locals.

Beautiful desert for safari ,photography,playing volleyball and camping with oasis inside consist of restaurant and wc.
