Quchan is a city in the Central District of Quchan County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. It is approximately 97km south of the border city of Ashgabat, capital city of neighboring Turkmenistan. At the 2006 census, its population was 96,953 in 25,066 households.
