three bathrooms were working and one had washing machines with a cash payment system (money jar, 1000 ISK).

the location was perfect.

the only complaints would be the lack of an info email before arrival (a quick phone call was enough to arrange the check-in) and the lack of any signs outside the building to be sure one's in the right place.

It was a great start to our trip around the country.
The room was big enough to move around with all the bags we had, later we have seen many other rooms in which you cannot even open your luggage. The self check in is also my new favourite thing, it was really easy to get in and out of the place, especially if you have unusual arrival and departure times, obviously. But it is something to appreciate if you remember the olden days when you had to catch the receptionists on a day when everything is outrageously delayed.
Fortunately, everyone else staying there in that period was also very respectful of their surroundings, we have found the toilets and showers clean, and they stayed that way till the end.
The kitchen was also very clean, and you can find almost anything you need. It's incredibly stocked up, after seeing the prices in the supermarkets I can imagine people having to buy everything in bulk even just for a few days. Apart from the stuff like sugar, salt, coffee, tea and milk, which you can find in the rooms, there were also all kinds of leftover pasta, breakfast stuff, butter, jams, and various spreads, butter, olive oil, condiments, and many more. I'm not saying that you should count on finding your whole daily nutritional intake, just buy whatever you need before going in. But I guess there is a great chance of finding stuff in that kitchen that you think you may have forgotten. Actually, if you take your tea or coffee with milk, just check the fridge before opening the new carton in your room, I'm sure there will be a couple more freshly opened ones in there waiting. Maybe we can prevent further food waste. And, last but not least, appreciate it, as it will probably not be the case for other guest houses around the island.
The location was also great for me, it's not exactly in the centre, but it is very central. Easy to find. There are also many spots to park your car in the area. We have spent a full day in the city and had a few trips back to leave some stuff back, use the toilet and put on/take off extra clothing with the changing weather conditions. What I mean to say is that the location makes it all possible. Sorry for the long text, I hope it helps, have a nice holiday!

Great welcome from the host and the room is bright and clean. Beds are very comfortable too. Ideal position, only 5 mins walk to centre of town.

Everything was nice, very well decorated and a very good wellcome. The owner gave us all that we needed, we will come back.

Clean and quiet

Die Unterkunft war sauber, es gibt eine Küche für alle. Und es werden jeden Tag die Gemeinschaftsbäder gereinigt.
Die Wege in die Innenstadt sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

Ho alloggiato in questo guesthouse tre notti, camera accogliente e calda, cucina completa di ogni cosa e bagni esterni puliti (a parte qualche ospite zozzone che non pulisce il water). Posizione ottima in zona tranquilla. Costo non troppo eccessivo rispetto altre soluzioni del genere.

Todo muy bien! Una pequeña cocina, 4 baños (dos abajo y uno arriba) y mucha tranquilidad.
Hay que tener en cuenta que en Islandia hay que dejar salir un poco el agua fría para quitar el olor de la caliente

Airbnb met heel goeie locatie. Propere kamers in een studenten kot setting. Goeie organisatie, maar geen eigenaar ter plaatse. Dicht bij de pick-up locaties voor verschillende tours! Een aanrader.
