We decided to have our dinner here while visiting Höfn. This was delicious! We ended up eating 3 courses. The homemade sourdough bread with the butter with skyr in is crazy! So tasty. All the food was great and the atmosphere and setting of the restaurant is very cozy! It’s so close to the harbor it feels as if the fish on your plate just jumped on it through the window, so fresh!

The food was delicious. We got lobster soup and grilled salmon and it was so good. They also provided homemade bread that was out of this world. The service was the most amazing thing. We asked so many questions about Icelandic culture and out waitress answered all of them and was very patient and kind. It’s a really nice place AND it is the very first built house in Hofn!! There’s so much history it’s so interesting.

A culinary experience!! Beautiful, cozy space serving top notch food. Lobster soup, homemade bread, beef tenderloin , duck confit, and a spectacular chocolate dessert! Food lovers dream!!

Extraordinary! We made an unplanned stop here for dinner last night, and were so pleased with our decision. Everything was cooked perfectly (lobster soup, roast beef, mutton, smoked cod) and beautifully plated, and the homemade bread was sublime. Dessert (carrot cake, rhubarb crumble) was delicious as well. Highly recommended if you're looking for a truly gourmet experience in a warm and informal setting.

What a jewel! This place is everything a road trip driver can dream of at the end of a long stretch. Perfect atmosphere and friendly service, but most importantly the menu: couvert, lobster soup and pear Hélène absolute 5 stars! Cannot recommend enough

The atmosphere was nice and the food was special and unique. Taste is very good and the staff was very nice.

A very good dinner. Try the local scallops caught be a diver next village. Both salmon and curred cod were great. Rhubarb dessert was delicious with homemade icecream. Red wine a bit cold. Very friendly staff. Only open on evenings

It's the best restaurant in Iceland in my opinion. Ingredients were delicious, prepared exquisitely and Balance well. Chocolate cake was so pure and flavorful. Highly recommended!!

Where do I begin? The vibe, totally green, but a nice tone of green. The bread and butter alone are worth a visit. The food was unreal the town so cute the company - well I picked that. Legit go here, you won’t find another good resturant for weeks. TRUST!!

This has to be the best food we ever had. Would definitely come back next time! We had lobster soup, marinated lamb filet and skyr dessert and it was soooo good. You have to try!

Fabulous restaurant in tiny Höfn! We went for a late December dinner and had lovely food and friendly, attentive service in a cosy place. Other reviewers are right - the bread and butter is delicious as were the shrimps and beef fillet. Can’t recommend enough if you’re in the area. Many thanks!

This was a beautiful building with beautiful and delicious food. It's been 2 years since I visited, but I still remember how perfect the soup and the fish were. The soup was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it before it was gone. The garnish was colorful, each sauce was perfectly paired with the fish, and there's something special about dining by candlelight. I loved looking out the window at the harbor and enjoying the overall aesthetic experience from the furniture, the plates, and the old heater in the middle of the room. I won't pass this place by the next time I visit Iceland.

Loved the place. Food is delicious. We ordered lobster soup, lamb and beef and all these dishes were really good. The place has a very nice atmosphere and decor. The staff is very friendly and nice.

Strongly Recommend the langoustine Soup with Cognac.
But everything else was delicious too.
The homemade bread is so comforting.
The waitress was super friendly and helpful. A real gem of the area.

The food is simply sensational!
When you are nearby, within 1hour drive away I would highly recommend to cone here and enjoy the great dishes they serve. We tried mainly the fish dishes and everything was fabulous. The lobster soup as starter is poetry in your mouth and and also the halibut was quite a benchmark for a brilliant composition with capers, mashed potatoes and beetroot. Too bad I had no space left for dessert...
The price is a bit higher than average but more than appropriate for the quality you get. Also wine prices are OK.
Whenever I will come back to Iceland I will come here again.
