Hotel Jökull

Nice and cheap hotel near Höfn. First room that we have had with a tv in Iceland. Good price, around 76 eur. Breakfast buffet included, although it was not a lot in terms of variety.

On the photos we saw they had muffins, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cake and warm food, but that wasn’t the case for us. Probably cause there were only 12 guests.

We had bread with cheese and jam, tiny donuts, juice and coffee.

Location is outside of hofn so a bit more peaceful.
Hotel has its own parking.
Large lobby. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. They immediately fixed our lights when it tripped.
We had a triple room which was very large. Has a kettle provided etc.
They gave us a 2nd radiator as the room was quite big
Smart TV included.
Breakfast was very good.

The hotel is situated away from town, very quiet and functional. The room we had was really comfortable. Loved hearing the farm animals on nearby farm in the morning. Staff were welcoming. Dinner was just ok… breakfast was ok … busy . Staff did best to keep up , but some other travellers were disruptive, demanding and entitled. Not the staffs fault and they were professional in response.

Comfortable room with delicious breakfast. Helpful staff especially woman from Poland. Free and spacious car park.

The room was spacious and amazing for a family of 3. The private washroom was also spacious and clean. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and such amazing choices. Finally the staff was great, and we were greeted with a smile and they were professional throughout. Definitely a great stay if in the area

Very nice stay. Just what you you’d be looking for after sharing a bathroom in hostels for the last 2 days of traveling the ring road. The breakfast was great.

Hotel room is so spacious. Amazing location , room with beautiful mountain scenery. Staff are most helpful and friendly. Bed was extra comfy, bathroom and shower was lovely. Great breakfast and many facilities. I love everything in the hotel!

1) rooms are clean, breakfast was buffet and very good. We had a larger room that would sleep 3 (family room). The rooms are comfortable and warm.
2) my son left his wallet with IDs in messenger bag with his San Jose Sharks sweat shirt and the staff of Jokull sent it to Reyjavik (our last stop before flying home to USA after Ring Road of Iceland for 3 weeks). Margaret and house keeping staff were exceptionally helpful and kind and went out of their ways to help me. My son has mild autism so he cried all night losing his belonging. Thank you Hotel Jokull!

We booked this place last minute as other travel plans fell through and for the price it was pretty good. We got a free breakfast in the room rate and going to dinner there was not as expensive as some other hotels and restaraunts. The food was amazing, I got the lobster torteccelli for dinner. The breakfast was continental with a large variety of options for food. My only complaint is that it was a communal bathroom for my floor but even that was not so bad. I would stay here again.

the price was great. It is definitely a hotel the room was big for Icelandic standard. Huge windows - we had a corner room so we had a great view of the parking lot. the toilets and showers were clean. For a hotel with a shared bathroom this is my first - so I guess its ok. the people at the reception were nice and welcoming. Love the breakfast it is great per Icelandic standards I would say. Its buffet style all you can eat. there's a gas station right outside the parking lot. There's plenty of parking. I am not sure if the breakfast area turns into a restaurant or they have a restaurant on site. great free and fast wifi

it is not walkable or near the city center or any supermarket - you will need to drive maybe 10-15 minutes.

Clean, nice and affordable! The free breakfast was great. The rooms were simple but nice. We got to see the northern lights from our bedroom window! Best value in Höfn.

Great place. Clean, big rooms that have all you need. There is a restaurant with delicious food and reasonable prices where you can have a great dinner

Location is a bit far from the nearest town Hofn where there are eating places, but if you have a car then it should be fine. Room is very clean and big, with comfartable beds. Service is good and breakfast is provided.

Excellent hotel. The rooms were well furnished, tidy and clean. The staff was eager to help and serve. The view of the mountain range is remarkable.

Our room was large, warm and well presented. Considering it is on the ringroad id recommend staying here.

Friendly staff, clean rooms with a comfortable bed. Breakfast had a selection of traditional breakfast items for Iceland.

The front desk lady kindly let us use the washroom in the hotel. The one at the N1 station is closed …We drive a long way here and it really helps us a lot. Really appreciated！

Hotel went out of their way to provide us with breakfast at 5am, as we had to get on the road due to weather. Absolutely welcoming and comfortable rooms.
