I loved this bar, I ended up trying a bunch of bars in iceland and stumbled into this one, it's a more local bar, most people will be speaking Icelandic. I met a ton of cool Icelandic people and ended up coming here every night of my trip.

Nice little bar. Right outside spot that was packed. Good vodka, whisky, and beer. Friendly spot

Cozy bar, best smoking room in Iceland. Happy hour from 15-20. Bathrooms are relatively clean. Good selection of beers. Perfect place for an evening of Icelandic sophistication.

A genuine place for beer lovers. Ölstofa has several nice Icelandic craft beers on tap and if you ask them, a lot more on bottles.
The bartenders has an interest in craft beer and you can easily pass time discussing beers with them.

We visited this bar twice during our trip to Reykjavik. Best bar in town, good selection of local beer and spirits. The atmosphere is very chill and the staff are pleasant

Very good beer and pub but the prices are through the roof. Would recommend to go during the happy hours. Nice smoking spot.

We were looking for a place to dry off after walking through the rain, this place had a low key local feel. Place was full on a Friday night for trivia. Made me happy to get a cuddle from the dogs inside, as you really miss your pets when you travel.

Cozy bar with a great selection of drinks. For smokers there is an enclosed smoking section. Staff was friendly and attentive.

One of the most fun times you can have drinking in Iceland. Everyone will mention the prices, but remember where you are and that you're not gonna find it to be much different elsewhere!

Of all the craft beer bars we went to in Iceland, I felt like this was the closest to an authentic Icelandic bar as we got. The others were very clearly geared towards english speaking customers, but I felt like this was a popular place amongst locals. A very nice craft beer selection, with prices competitive (if not a little cheaper) than other local places.

This is a great bar located near the downtown area of Reykjavik. The atmosphere is nice and people seem to be friendly there. They have a good mix of beers and spirits. I will definitely return.

My favorite bar in Reykjavik. A block off Laugavegur which makes it more local and less touristy. Has a patio area and comfy surroundings. Staff and locals were friendly. Probably the only bar in town that had a beer made for it, so stop in and try the Bríó.

Loved this bar. We went on a Sunday night when it seemed that few other places in Reykjavík were open/busy. Popular with the locals, met some great people. Quaint and cozy. Smoking room.

I had Garún here, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. They have a nice patio, as well as indoor seating. Very easy to stay for many drinks.

Along with the beauty of Iceland, Olstofa was the highlight experience of our trip!!! Went with my niece and we dropped in one night just before closing. We went back the next four nights until our flight home.
Gosh, we were so tempted to stay up all night and go to the airport... we set a 10:00 pm pack up time and stayed till 12:00 am. Because we loved drinking with our new friends so much!!!
We were welcomed and treated like old friends by the bartenders and locals. Sigi - Atul - Jenny (from US), bartender half Icelandic and Polish (sorry if I mixed that up), Kaspir, mgr. with long beard, and so many others, just made our trip so memorable, unforgettable, priceless!!! Thank you all!!! I know, I can’t spell Icelandic :(
The second night is when they came up and introduced themselves and invited us to sit with them. Then so many others did the same. Not only that, we drank and talked all night like friends do. We just had to get to sleep for the tours each morning.
Respect the land, the history, the culture, the people and you will be rewarded many times over. Priceless experience. I want return to see the summer, but the chance to see them again motivates as much as wanting to see more of Iceland.
Note: I don’t typically do reviews. I write this out of my appreciation for the people who welcomed us so openly and warmly to make our trip so perfect.
Met this beautiful woman our last night there. She had plans with friends. I asked her for a pic before she left to tell stories and lie back home. She said great, wrapped her arms around me and said... tell all the lies you want! Haha... next time? No lies... just kidding, she’s way too young and I’m too old. Bummer. Have fun! Iceland ❤❤❤
