Hotel Valpudra

Hotel Valpudra is an amazing family owned and operated hotel and restaurant that far surpassed my expectations. Stayed there with friends for some end of season skiing and we all loved it. The food is not only delicious but carefully crafted, the staff is friendly and the customer service we received was some of the best we've experienced in Italy.
Not only is the restaurant a great place to have dinner at, its perfect for a mid-day break from the slopes as it is literally directly in front of the lifts. The views of Sassolungo are second to none and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and family oriented.
Staying at the hotel was even a better experience for us given the cleanliness and top notch facilities. Its a cozy place yet has everything you could possibly want or need. It felt more like staying at a friends home than at a hotel. I highly recommend Hotel Valpudra and hope to get the opportunity to come spend some time there again.

Absolutely fantastic. We have been coming to this lovely gem in the mountains for many years and it never fails to astonish us. It’s a family run business, couldn’t ask for better hosts. We felt like we were part of the family, anything we needed we just had to ask and they would help. Moritz was like a personal tour guide, gave us daily recommendations and activities for the whole family and never failed to disappoint. He knew the best hiking spots and little places along trails for snacks and breaks.
The rooms are spotless, modern, comfortable, and a great home away from home. We were a family of five, two adults and three children age 6, 9, 12, and our room was perfect. The breakfast is fantastic cozy breakfast room, great staff and a delicious spread. Perfect way to start the day. Also the coffee was delicious.
This was a summer trip for us, so during the summer months, the walk out basement downstairs is a bike storage room. In the winter that same room becomes the ski storage and right next to it is the ski rental. Every room has its own ski bin, super convenient. During ski season you just go downstairs, grab your skis, walk right to the gondola. There is a sauna which is a great way to wind down after a long day of skiing or hiking.
For kids there’s a large trampoline and ping-pong table outside, keeps the kids busy while us adults enjoy drinks outside in the sun. Right from the hotel you can begin many of the hikes, or the gondola is right across the parking lot, couldn’t get any easier. The hikes from the top of the gondola are out of this world, amazing views, and good for all levels of hikers or bikers. We are already planning to come back next winter and spend more time there next summer. I highly recommend this Hotel for any type of vacation, hiking, biking, skiing. You will not be disappointed and will fall in love with it like we did..

Great hotel experience! The room was clean and spacious and had an amazing view of Sassolungo mountain. The breakfast was excellent and substantial and provided us with ample energy for our hikes in the surrounding Dolomiti. Returning tired in the late afternoons we enjoyed relaxing apperitivo time on the front deck. The location is ideal - near everything but not in the middle of the tourist crowds of Selva. Pleasant and interesting owners as well. I think we will be returning!

Fantastic hotel. The location is awesome with access to the bike park and hikes, just a short walk into town. Staff go above and beyond with everything, they were always welcoming and helpful.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Valpudra. The location is SUPERB for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Our rooms were incredibly spacious, the beds super comfy, bathroom modern, and our balcony faced the gorgeous Dolomites 🏔 🥰

The breakfast offered a lot of variety with many healthy and hearty options for everyones palette. And the dinner was out of this world😋 Every night we were presented with many different, creative delicious options, so we never got bored, but felt we were at a Micheline rated restaurant ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Last but not least the owners treated us like family and gave us lot‘s of tips of what to do and see. We will be back!!!

When you step in the hotel for the first time, it feels like you have dropped in an other universe. You look out of your room's window, and see the endless ski paradise. It just feels different. In a good way. The breakfast, lunch, dinner are all immaculate. The staff is lovely, the owners are very nice and positive people. The rooms, and the whole building is spotless. It doesn't matter that you are there in the summer or winter, there are still MILLIONS of things to do. For example, the ski tracks turn into Downhill bicycle tracks in the summer time. We return with my family almost every year, and we are never dissapointed. I definitely recommend Hotel Valpudra. And with that much "talking,, i still can't express my opinion. 10/11!

We are from Florida , spend 2 weeks in the hotel . Very family friendly , the staff went beyond and above to make sure we have everything what we need . Extra thank you for the chef , for making all the food so magical . Highly recommend it !!!

This hotel is amazing! We stayed here in early July and had a great experience. The staff are lovely and moved us to a better room with a view on request.

The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious with good facilities. Breakfast was great and the service was brilliant. The hotel has free car parking and the bar/restaurant/snack bar stays open till 7. The hotel gave us free bus passes to use which was a great bonus.

Good location away from the rush of Ortesei and Selva. Sassolungo chair lift/gondola is right outside the hotel and takes you up to some stunning areas. We got the eco pass for €32.

Would highly recommend this hotel for a summer stay in the Dolomites.

Lovely hotel! Excellent breakfast and very stylish and clean rooms. Service was fantastic. We loved the location-a short drive from Val Gardena but far enough to be away from all of the tourists. Everyone should stay here.

We have been only in the restaurant during winter season 2018. We were disappointed with other places cause they were sending us away and telling that we should book the table in advance. Valpudra had free table stright away and very nice service. Waiters were kind despite of high time and rush hours. Food was very good, we had spaghetti carbonara and rissotto with king prawns carbonara, and eggs with speck and potatoes. Prices are quite normal.

Super nice place to stay, running by one family, so you will be in good hands for sure 🤗 delicious breakfast and wellness zone ❤

Wir haben dort eine tolle Woche Anfang September bei Familie Demetz verbringen dürfen und uns rundum sehr wohlgefühlt. Ein tolles Frühstücksbuffet was keine Wünsche offen ließ und ein sehr sauberes Zimmer, was jeden Tag gereinigt wurde. Der persönliche Austausch mit dem Ehepaar Demetz war sehr angenehm. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.
