I loved my stay at Grandhotel Campione and felt so welcome. The whole team is super friendly and their hospitality is outstanding! Dinner absolutely worth it! So great that places like this still exist! Definitely, will be back soon!

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Campione for three nights and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and the overall quality of the hotel. From the moment I checked in until my departure, everything exceeded my expectations.

A special shoutout to Shamari, who was an absolute star during our stay. Her constant contact, welcoming smile, and eagerness to assist in any way possible made our experience even more memorable. It's rare to find such dedicated and genuinely caring staff.

The hotel itself is a delight, offering comfortable accommodations and top-notch amenities. Every aspect of my stay, from the room's cleanliness to the variety of services offered, was handled with utmost professionalism.

My experience at the Grand Hotel Campione was simply amazing. The hotel's nice and modern style created a chic and sophisticated ambiance, adding a touch of elegance to my trip. The lake itself is breathtaking, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning panoramic views. I had the opportunity to take a bus to Lugano, a nearby city, and then returned to the hotel by ferry. The journey by ferry was a delightful experience, offering picturesque views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

The Campione area is also worth exploring. It is known for its charming villages, scenic hiking trails, and vibrant local culture. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the beauty of the region, whether it was discovering hidden gems in the nearby villages or taking leisurely walks along the lakeside promenade.

Overall, my trip to the Grand Hotel Campione was unforgettable. With its modern style, helpful staff, and tranquil surroundings, it provided the perfect retreat. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel from the beginning till the end, everything was perfect. I really don’t understand some negative comments . Having stayed in the 5 star hotels a bit all over the world, I should say our stay was extremely pleasant with high level amenities . We got the top floor ( last one) , and we have booked the view on the lake , it was breathtaking. The food was very good ( I think we tried pretty much everything in room service). Large choice for breakfast ( even if not exactly on the menu , they can cook pretty much everything) . , extremely good and friendly service. Spacious rooms , very comfy bed , very good isolation ( it was so calme) . You should have a car if you want to go to move a bit around ( go to the lake como, monte Bré…) , but we knew it when we booked the hotel .
It is definitely worth it’s money

Every thing in this hotel was perfect , the rooms are very clean and nicely decorated with such a beautiful views on the lake. The staff were awesome, everyone was kind and accommodating. Shamery in the breakfast was very friendly, kind and nice.

All the staff in the reception were accommodating and so professional!

We stayed for 3 nights at Grand Hotel Campione and we loved it. Service was fantastic from all the team. Our room overlooked the lake with a small balcony and was stunning. The rooms do need a little refresh to consider it truly five star, however this wouldn't stop us from returning to this hotel again. We really enjoyed staying in Campione which is quieter than other areas on the lake. Thank you!

My husband took me to this lovely hotel for my birthday. The suite we stayed in was beautiful and the views of the lake were breathtaking. While the location is awesome, the staff and hotel employees were perfection. Everyone was kind and accommodating. The staff even left a beautiful handwritten note and flowers for my birthday. Highly recommend.

We came to this beautiful hotel passing trough the lake area with no expectations. It turned out to be one of the best hotels we ever been to. From the first moment Mr. Mauro and his team made us feel like a kings. They provide hospitality you never dreamt of. We have been travelling a lot but this place is different, you are treated so special and no is not an answer! Every time we entered we were given the ultimate attention and care. We felt to comfortable and relaxed like never before!
The room is very nice, clean and the view is stunning facing the beautiful lake and mountains. The restaurant down is serving really delicious meals.
This hotel is a hidden gem, oasis of calmness Mr. Mauro created having the highest standards in hospitality and whole his team has been maintaining this his effort. If you are fortunate enough to go to this place, enjoy! And treat these lovely people with a highest respect, please , because they really pour all their energy and passion into their job!

I had an amazing time with my husband. The service is incredible. A special thanks to the director, Irma et the all the restaurant team. By the way, the food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. We will definitely come back.

We can feel the luxury of the hotel

The hotel is very perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect in a quiet area with a very beautiful view at the lake of Lugano. Lugano is just 15 min drive or you can take the ferry to get there. The room was spacious, modern and super clean. I really liked the privilege of letting us to enjoy private spa time just the two of us. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking to spend their honeymoon or anniversary.

We had amazing stay during our 5th wedding anniversary at this hotel.
Upon arrival our room wasn't ready but we were greeted with champagne and appetizers and we could wait on the patio while enjoying our snacks.
Once our room was ready we went upstairs and they took care of the luggage, it magically appeared upstairs. Very good service.
We took premium room on the top floor. And it was best decision. Room had view of Lugano with large balcony.

Room
The rooms are very good. Nice big TV, lots of closet space and comfy big bed. Bathtub however was very difficult to take shower because water would flow to all sides and I didn't manage to figure out this curtain. Also get in and out can be very tricky.
The view is everything! I highly recommend to take higher floor to see beautiful Lake Lugano and Lugano town.
The only downside you cant enjoy balcony for too long since there are too many mosquitos.

SPA
While you stay at this hotel you can enjoy SPA room to yourself for whole 1 hour per day. We had such a blast since we love our privacy a lot. They have steam room, sauna, mineral shower, dipping pool and relaxing area with showers and locker rooms. It was such an amazing experience.

Breakfast
Amazing breakfast with variety of choices. They can make omelet or eggs your style addition to buffet selections. Fresh coffee or tea of your choice. For such a small hotel they offer much bigger breakfast options than we had in our big hotel in Milan. I was very happy with breakfast there.

Restaurant
Also they have restaurant on site Vali. With amazing chef & menu. Also we saw a lot of locals come to have a dinner here. It seems like very authentic place. Also since Campione it's a small town this restaurant definitely match our style and food preference. Everything was very delicious.

Service
People are very nice there. They help us with taxi reservation, luggage and all our dinner & spa reservations. We had very good getaway and romantic anniversary dinner. Also manager was very nice and made sure everything works well and guests are happy. This is definitely type of service you expect at 5 star hotel!

We can't wait to visit this place again.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! It was perfectly Italian, stylish down to the gris foussana-tiled bathrooms, modern light fixtures and classic gorgeous facets...The sleep was amazing and comfortable, with soft and crisp linens...The staff and service were absolutely impeccable- so helpful and accommodating! The owner (I assume he was the owner), was a very charming gentleman; he was lovely and responsive and made me feel I was the only guest in the hotel! I was on a somewhat stressful trip, and this gentleman gave me his personalized attention and was very sensitive to my individual needs to make sure I was extra comfortable. The housekeeping service was perfect- and I like my rooms really clean! Finally, the restaurant was nice and the food was quite tasty, with the owner adding his final touch- a complimentary glass of champagne as an aperitif! I booked last-minute and was there on family-business travel and was very busy, so I was not necessarily expecting a whole lot, but I was really taken in by the elegance of my stay, which as it turned out, was exactly what I needed (Italians really do it right!)...I have found in my travels throughout Europe- especially Italy- to not be in short supply of alluring and beautiful hotel accommodations, but you can end your search with complete confidence because the Grand Hotel Campione is European perfection! Nestled at the foot of a ridge right on the Lago di Lugano, I would return again and again to the Grand Hotel Campione for business or pleasure! And I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for simple, classic comfort combined with tasteful Italian luxury- an indulgent treat!

The Hotel family is the most welcoming, kind, smiling, gentle, funny, considerate and polite family I'd ever encountered in a hotel. Among all my travels, this hotel has the best hospitality, location and view, cleanness and food. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

First and foremost, we would like to thank Mauro and his team for turning our stay at Campione into something truly unforgettable and wonderful.
We and our dog "Bella Donna" were treated with so much kindness and attention from the moment we entered the hotel that we felt at home almost instantly.
White wine and amuse-bouches were served at our room and we also found white roses and a hand written word of welcome. So much attention to detail - perfectly organized - nothing left to chance.

Our room was located on the 4th floor. The delicious unspoilt view of Lake Lugano was another highlight. The hotel is indeed picturesquely situated.

As far as the hotel owned restaurant Valì is concerned, we strongly recommend to go there for dinner.
On New Year's Eve they prepared 11 courses - mostly Italian cuisine - it felt like heaven.
Our dog got her own little dogbar with a big bone. Just wow!

To us, it was not surprising that the creation of such a warm and welcoming environment attracted amazing people. All the other guests were respectful and pleasant.

Some comments here point out that the breakfast buffet doesn't offer enough variety of food and that the mini-bar is empty.
One has to take into consideration that the hotel is rather small - the breakfast buffet isn't equipped for hundreds of guests but the variety of sweet and savory specialties is more than sufficient and totally adequate.
The mini-bar was empty (true) BUT we were fantastically served in the lounge and whenever we came back from a trip, we were immediately asked if we wanted a drink or a snack.
By the way, the Limoncello at Campione deserves a standing ovation - we have never tasted anything like this before.

In a nutshell: Campione is like a rare diamond - something so unique you will never forget.

Best 5 stars hotel in the area. Close to Como, Milan and Lugano. Rooms are large and nicely decorated, staff are very nice and the manager Mauro Griguoli is amazing. Don’t think twice come and enjoy.

Amazing staff with excellent family vibe, all while spoiling you! Visiting with the staff was a treat. The room was fabulous as well. The lake across the street is gorgeous. We highly recommend!

Gorgeous boutique hotel with extremely nice staff that would make sure you enjoy every minute of your stay. Great facilities, location and dinning options… Gay friendly. I’d definitely want to come back and recommend to any friend that visits that area!
