My girlfriend and I worked remotely for week as guests of Antico Verbano! Everything went very smoothly! Thank you very much for having us!

Location was absolutely beautiful and hotel seemed very well maintained! Internet connection was good for working remotely! We had a lot of meetings and everything worked well without lag. Staff is very friendly and easy going!

Only downside (if I should name something) is the sound insulation. It’s pretty non existant 😅 you can literally hear all the conversations from both sides…

Something what we would do differently next time is book one of the bigger rooms.

Something to take in to consideration is that a car is pretty much mandatory. The hotels car park is just a short walk away, which is handy.
Also if you are visiting out side the high season do keep in mind that the near by restaurants are not open. But then on the other hand you get to enjoy the peace and quiet of this nice location 😌

First of all, this is one of the most beautiful places to stay on the west side of the lake. Although it's not the most luxurious building the facilities are all there and the view is just stunning.

The staff is the most amazing you will ever experience, super friendly and they really take the next step to make your holiday or stay a wonderful experience. Especially Marco from the restaurant should receive a medal for hospitality, thanks for that!

Pro’s:
- great view in general with a great position to the village.
- positioned at the sunrise of the lake, where you’re able to see the sunrise if you wake up early.
- Arona is very close by
- great pool
- great food in the restaurant on the ground floor.
- Airconditioned rooms
- Favorable in relation to (major) infrastructure.
- Lovely new beach club next to the hotel for great food or drinks!

Con’s:
- At this moment in time they are changing the area around the hotel, which was a lovely square, hope this will be the same. But keep in mind that work starts around 07:30.

A must visit if you would like to stay around lake maggiore, I can't say it enough times.. The staff of this accommodation is just amazing!

Beautiful apartments.
Amazing service by Valentina and her team.
Amazing views.
Nice restaurant and Bistro with a beautiful terrace and excellent and charm service.
Also, there is a boat rental company called Boat Rent Italy based inside the hotel, offering many options to enjoy the lake so this was very convenient (seems to be the only hotel in the lake with this option).
Boat Rent Italy gave us a 5 star service and we had an amazing boat experience with them.
We enjoyed ours 3 weeks holidays. We felt so nice and relax at the hotel
We will come back next year

Thank you Antico Verbano and Thank you Boat Rent Italy :)

Couple, traveling by train through Europe.

Location:
Beautiful location on the lake. Arona/Stresa bus stop outside and a short (but very down hill) walk from the station. You can easily cycle to Arona but the roads arent for the faint hearted at peak hours.
Arona has lots of restaurants and bars and worth a day visit if you are staying here. Its only about 5 mins on bus.
There is not much to do in the immediate area but that's the point and is very relaxing. Little cucina next door serves snacks, drinks and aperitivo. The shop in town is fine but check its open on the day you arrive if you need groceries.
We got the bus to Stresa for the train and it was 3€ each and very easy.

Room:
We had a small studio with juliet balcony. It was spotless and modern and the kitchen was equipped enough to cook breakfasts/basic pasta dinner. Bed was super comfy and TV had Netflix (to log on to your own). We loved the room.

Amemities:
We used the bike hire and pool area although the weather was too cold to swim. You can hire towels at reception for 5 euros if you don't have your own.
The pool area has some 'premium' spots (the ones with a little table) that are 10€ per day but there are plenty of others that are no charge. The premium ones get the very last of the sun hence the charge I think.
You can hire paddle boards etc at the pool for very reasonable prices.

We took some drinks and sat in the lovely garden for the early evening. There are mosquitos so make sure to cover up if outside at dusk. This is obviously due to being close to the water and no fault of the accommodation.

Staff:
Lovely, accommodating and went the extra mile. Check in was simple and the staff explained everything clearly. We asked to hire bikes as we needed to pop to Arona for groceries due to the shop being shut. We were less than an hour so they very kindly waived the fee. Its normally 12€ for 4hrs so still very reasonable and they are Ebikes so min effort required on the hills.

This is a residence (self catering) hotel which by virtue should be hands off from staff etc. There is no cleaning service or towel changes but we did not expect there to be. If you want a full service hotel do not stay here. If you want to relax in a lovely location, in a nice apartment with lovely staff to assist when needed then definitely stay here. We will be back for sure thank you.

We stayed in one room big apartment and balcony with a lake view. The bathroom was also very big and clean. There was also a kitchen but we didn’t use it and went out to eat. Loved the place!

The only thing is that there is a club near hotel so you could hear some music during night. But if you close windows and use air conditioning it is totally fine.

This is a good compromise between an apartment and a hotel. We enjoyed the pool, and breakfast, but it was nice to have more space than in a hotel room, and the option of simple self catering. We did not have dinner in the restaurant as I don’t think it would have suited our fussy eating child, but we all enjoyed visiting the pizza place next door. There is only one ferry a day out, and then returning, but we found that we could take the ferry to Stresa in the morning and then return by bus to give us more options.

Fazit: 5* in allen Belangen.
