What an extremely extraordinary café. Prices were excellent, the service was supreme and the atmosphere was outstanding. Just a great place. My waitress was absolutely, by far, the most beautiful girl in Italy. Hands down, her amazing smile and wonderful outstanding attitude was the very very very best. The view from seating was so beautiful this night and just the friendly, amazing people of Italy walking about and enjoying a nice evening.

The place to be in beautiful Amalfi! We had a tasty cappuccino and the red wine was extremely good. Roberto and Luigi were very welcoming and kind. Thank you for all. Greetings from Athens!

Manuel and Natalia were our waiters they were excellent. I don't understand why this place has bad reviews. Because our experience was completely different. Bolognese was great and Salmon excellent. All our food was very hot in contrary of what reviews says. This place so far was great during our visit which October, 2023.

The coffee was AMAZING, food was really good, and the waitress who served us (Natalie) was really helpful, pleasant, and patient even though it was a very busy service. My wife and I had a great time during brunch.

During our stay in Amalfi we visited 3-4 times! Loved the food and the atmosphere in the main square. The staff here are so lovely, never had to wait for a table and the food was always fresh and authentic! Best Aperol spritz too! Thank you!!

The food and the drinks were very good (especially the french fries). The waiters were very kind and professional. Great location, in front of Duomo. Definitely a place to come back!

My friend and I came here 3 times during our week in Amalfi and we had a lovely experience with both the food and the staff. Salvatore and Peppe were so kind to us and we loved the food and wine!! The carbonara and ravioli are both great :)

In the central of Amalfi this small bistro has privileged seats in the central plaza. Frankly you come here for the location, pizza is very good and the menu has the traditional Italian foods.
There is a cover charge of €2 per person and smoking is allowed outdoors, as with many other restaurants in Italy, which is bothersome to international tourists where smoking is banned at restaurants.
Prices are moderate for the area.

Excellent and fast service 👌🤩thanks to Natalya(waiter), we quickly decided on dinner(of course pasta with seafood and fresh fish)and, on the advice, chose wine and a local gin tonic😍😉

No idea why this place is getting bad reviews, but we had a great experience. The food was delicious and came out very promptly after we ordered. The pasta was obviously great, but the Brit in me couldn't help but be blown away by the chips - phenomenal. Good value too I thought, we paid ~€60 for 2x people having a main each, a side each, and a lemon spritz each.

We went for a quick lunch while visiting the town. The staff was very kind and helpful. The seafood was amazing and fresh. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view! Delicious food! Wonderful service! No complaints!

NOTE: there is a copycat restaurant immediately to the left of Bistrot, called Bar Francese, which does not have a location on the map. Bistrot is a wonderful restaurant that is unfortunately getting a bad rap from this tourist trap restaurant next to it. It's hard to tell but there are two dining areas separated by planters. Go to the RIGHT side. The left side is terrible. The waiters on the left side are the ones customers have been saying will rush to get you seated. Bistrot waiters will not rush you.

My husband and I came up to the menu stand in front of Bistrot and were flagged down by waiters from Bar Francese who rushed to get us seated and have us place an order, and when we asked if the two sides were the same restaurant because they look similar, they lied and said yes (they are very much not!)
After a sip of my aperol spritz which tasted disgusting (later we learned from another restaurant owner that this Bar doesn't actually use real aperol) we got the check, got out and went to the right side (Bistrot) where it was a completely different experience. Selection was much larger, prices were better, waiters were attentive, food and drink was delicious, and when the sun went down they took down the umbrellas so we could have a good view of the Duomo at night. The waiters' only job at Bar Francese seemed to be flagging down potential Bistrot customers, while trash laid all around their tables and inside their bakery area.

After talking with a Bistrot waitress this has been happening to them for over a year now. Make sure you go to the RIGHT side!!

In a town full of tourists and all restaurants packed we received a warm and professional welcome, in particular from the lady waitress - Enza. The service was very good - we ate two good fish dishes and a lovely dessert. Thank you!

I came here for breakfast and t was delicious! The omelette did not disappoint. They service was very friendly and polite!

I cam back for dinner the same day and had the ravioli, also delicious!

Incredible spot opposite duomo. We were surprised it was pretty good value given the location and great quality. Very friendly staff - good with our kids.

Seating in front of the Duomo and the fountain on the square makes this place special. There is ample shade cover for the heat in summer and the servers that helped me were friendly, fast and professional. I felt that 11 Euro was a little expensive for an Aperol spritz but the whole of Amalfi is expensive so if you complain about this restaurants prices, you won't be happy at any restaurant unless it's a road side 'fast food' joint. The food I had was fresh and high quality so I really was happy and felt that it was worthwhile. I've seen some bad reviews for this place and I am grateful to have had a wonderful experience..
