While the property is owned by an American , the cohost on the listing, the bookings and property is managed by a local family. The son, Micheal, a lawyer, that helps manage the Devon House in Kingston also manages the bookings, and communication, his father a Rasta named Mr. Williams aka Biscuit is the property host and caretaker along with his wife of 30 years Jackie and her sister Sheri manage the laundry and keep the communal kitchen and cabins looking pristine.

Micheals communication style is very responsive and on point. While the listing says they have WIFI, they have been experiencing challenges by their service provider FLOW for the past several months- if Wifi is an important amenity, you may want to reach out prior to booking or purchase a local SIM card and data plan prior to arrival.

The property and grounds are absolutely stunning. “ Biscuits Place” has 3 guest cottages each with hot water and AC, an owners unit that is attached to the shared kitchen and a caretaker quarters for Biscut who is the onsite security.

Where else can you take a picture of the beautiful Caribbean Sea and turn around 180 degrees and capture a photo of the majestic Blue & John Crow Mountains ? Biscuits Place.

The photos on Airbnb are an accurate representation of the property- but what you find upon arrival is even better than what the photos are able to capture. It’s like you have your own tropical oasis. The property has so many birds, including the doctor bird, several manicured gardens with seating areas, flowers and fruit trees like Jackfruit, Noni, Otaheite Apple, Plantains, Bananas, Pineapple and many many more. You will also find several friendly, well behaved and treated dogs that have their own spacious dog kennel. We only stayed a few days so we didn’t venture down the seaside trail but hope to return and spend more time there.

Biscut is a great host and storyteller…Including his time hosting SNOOP Lion aka SNOOP DOG. He has the ability to sense just how much interaction and privacy you need.

The cabins are buIlt of concrete and have two windows, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The shower has hot water which was nice. The beds and linens are are the same quality that you will at the Marriott Hotel in Kingston.
