Viking Rasta Retreats

I've Been going to Vikings for over 11 years. We first went when I was 15 and it was amazing, the people, the culture, the food, the atmosphere. Everything about Great Bay is above and beyond. We stayed a month the first time. And made friends instantly.

Second time was about a year later for 2.5 months. And just like the first time it was a spiritual connection. Vikings rasta retreat is more than just a place to stay. It's a family, Its a reality, Its beautiful kind loving people with open arms. The humidity is high beside the ocean, With the fresh fruits, Hot sun. And tropical paradise. Vikings is home away from home. 5 stars. If you're looking for a resort and people to cater to every need. This is a place you wont go. But if you want adventure and REAL people doing REAL people things. This is your destination. Dont stop for a day or two. Stop for a week or two. Prices are extremely reasonable. Food again... Food is OUTSTANDING!

And Viking, Marvet and their entire family are family to me and my family. It's a blessed magical place.

This Resort is unlike any other that you may find in Treasure Beach with it's relaxing and uplifting atmosphere even upon arrival you can smell the Tranquility in the air,
spacious accommodations coupled with the independence of preparing your own dishes or eating out, you will always find assistance wherever it's needed, in other words this is a home away from home with a tropical vibe, rich in culture and friendly people that will linger with you forever.

At this spot I found my metaphysical teacher and my Zen. No one bothers you and it feels like coming home to your family after a long war, but the war is in the other part of the world lol

A nice, quiet getaway on the southern coast where I'm able to unplug and recharge in a simple and uncomplicated setting.

Vikings Rasta Retreat I say is a place where you can sit by the beach and connect with your self and the universe​ . It a place which most people find it hard to say goodbye and always make repeat visits

I would not recommend this place, and certainly NOT to female travellers. The man who runs the place was lecherous and lewd to my friend and I, and then the next day I heard similar inappropriate stories from other female visitors. I had done a booking online then went to check in, and chose not to stay because I did not feel safe. The proprietor (the dread in the photos) made very inappropriate comments about not locking the doors so that he could come in and get into the bed with us. This happened within 10 mins of us arriving. This is not how one speaks to a potential customer, even if trying to make a joke. There was more but I won't expound here. I was in Treasure Beach for the weekend at the Calabash festival. I thought it was just a one off, but then met women the next day at the festival who said they had a similar interaction. I am Jamaican and I know sometimes our locals are unfortunately forward with tourist women - but this was way out of line.

I only stopped to ask something. The person who runs the accommodation (the rastaman seen on the pictures of other users) wasn´t a really friendly guy. The teenagers (maybe his grandchildren) were very outrageous! I wouldn´t stay there!
