The worst banking experience ever. Wanted to extend the credit limit and it the request was lodged somewhere in June. This guy named Nirodha took his own sweet time of 3 months for the thing to process, that too after calling and inquiring multiple times. The cherry on the top of cake was that the card (a brand new one) stopped working after like 3 transactions, only online payment worked and it won't work for card swipes/taps. Reported this to the Rajagiriya branch and they said there's nothing wrong with the card and we have to pay and buy another card which they'll try to give at their earliest. Business days works like dog years for this bank, the staff is very unresponsive, slow and have no idea what they're doing. Wouldn't recommend banking with HNB, terrible service, utterly useless, not worth even a single star.

Busy and messy place, if you go there make sure you put at least half day leave !
Went to open a savings account, so many procedures for about 1 1/2 hours and finally got to know there were no debit cards in the branch.
They asked me to wait some more if I wanted to activate digital online banking.
After 2 days went to another HNB branch to get a debit card and activate online banking but found my signature is not uploaded in the system. So again came back empty handed.
Typical ‘ Pradeshiya saba’ approach (as previous reviewer also says ). HNB seems not very customer friendly even though there are some good individual employees who are very helpful.

Staff එකට ප්‍රාදේශීය සභා වයිබ් එකක් තියෙන්නේ, හෙනම ස්ලෝ.. 😂 DEBIT කාඩ් එකක් ගන්න පැයකට වඩා හිටියා.
