Raddolugama Weekly Fair

The weekly fair of Raddolugama is held in every Saturday throughout the year. Lots of sellers from around the Roddolugama area come there to sell their produce. Fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, green leaves, fresh sea fish, dry fish, spices, dry goods like all sorts of legumes, basic kitchen equipment, local sweets, clothing could be brought from here. Apart from mass produced fruits and vegetables you could also buy organic fruits and vegetables produced in smaller scale by local farmers. Vegetable and fruit varieties which are local specialties that are usually not available at the grocers and super markets are also available in this market.

The types of produce available greatly varies specially from season to season. The quality of the goods is also greatly varying from seller to seller so before you buy it’s a good thing to walk around and have a look for the availability and quality of the items that you are planning to buy.

Usually it’s not very crowded. Morning time is the best to visit there.
