Cafe on the 18th

Best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka during our 3-week trip! Amazing cappuccinos and delicious avocado toast and French toast. The service was really fast, in contrast to most other places at this beach.

Prices are a bit high, but definitely worth it because of the great food!

Cafe on the 18th quickly became our favorite spot during our stay. We literally came here every day of our stay in Trincomalee.

The food is delicious. Over our stay, we tried the French toast, the avocado toast and sushi and all was amazing. The passion fruit juice and iced coffee with coconut milk were also very yummy.

It's a perfect place for brunch, lunch, or dinner with exceptional service. They also accept cards, which is a rare convenience in Sri Lanka.

The place is beach-front with gorgeous decor. The owner thoughtfully curated pieces from local Sri Lankan craftsmen and kindly guided me on where to find them. When I couldn't visit the original village, he even checked a store in Trinco for the item I was looking for.

Went here as we were looking for a special place for my birthday and it did not disappoint! Amazing fresh seafood with interesting and clever flavours - cannot praise it enough.
Plus the really helpful gentleman that worked there could see we were struggling to choose from the amazing Menu- so helped us, suggested a few and let us order and eat then order more!
All dishes we ordered were amazing- kingfish capacio, tuna ceviche, tuna sushi and Panko prawns! Then ended with brownie :)
We also ordered drinks from the Fernando’s bar - so a perfect evening!
Highly highly recommend :)

What a wonderful place! The food is great, the coffee is even better. And the people are so nice! Directly to the beach, very nice setting. Loved it!

I had visited this cool place a few times during my stay and I loved it. 💙
The place has an atmosphere and decilicious meals. I liked everything I tried, especially the seafood salad and tuna. A small confusion about fried eggs vs. omelet (I suggest to correct it on the menu) but it was a minor issue.
If you are around and want to enjoy your meal, come to Cafe on the 18th!

Coffee is amazing, food even better!
Not the cheapest place in teincomalee, European prices. But really, the quality is amazing and the place is so nice and relaxing.

A true hidden gem in paradise!

Food is on par with some of the best restaurants I've eaten at outside of Sri Lanka.

Expect to pay a little extra than your normal spending in Sri Lanka, but worth every cent!

The best restaurant/cafe in Trincomalee so far!!! They have amazing avocado toast, and coffees ! I tried the Mango French toast, and it was THE BEST !! Recommend 100% when you come to Trinco!

Delicious fresh food and drinks along with friendly service, right on the beach. I would highly recommend that you go here! My sister and I ate at Cafe 18 numerous times during our stay. Pancakes 10/10, French Toast 10/10, Poke bowl 10/10!!
Good coffee is hard to find in Sri Lanka and we were delighted to have some delicious (not instant) iced coffees here too.
They also accept card payment and serve Coke Zero!

The best place to eat good food and relax at the beach.
The food is well served here.
They are not only friendly to the European tourist but also to the local tourists.
The place is very clean and has a very harmonious atmosphere.
We travelled along the coast in Sri Lanka.
We had food in many beach restaurants but none of the beaches were so clean and tidy as this. Respect for the people who do their best here.
I hope tgey would continue to do so in the future.
We went for an evening supper and the ambience was perfect match with the beautiful sunset view.
Don't complain about the prices! This is a Cafe which uses quality ingredients to make your dishes extra special.

Tasty and fresh sushi. The coffee was also excellent. The place is really clean and cozy, and the employees are friendly. It's worth visiting here!

This place is a GEM! I’m still dreaming of the tropical smoothie bowl I ate! The California roll tasted so fresh, the teriyaki chicken was delish, and the vanilla iced latte was the cherry on top! One of the top 2 meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka!

Honestly the best soy cappuccino I’ve had on the island, and I’ve lived here 2 years! Great location right on the beach, with a nice atmosphere and seating section for chilling or working. Amazing smoothie bowls too!

I’m in love this pleace. Every morning was good, delicious food and kindly staff.

Very tasty food, not cheap, but its really good. We ate katsumi chicken and Tom yam soup, all was good.

This is the star of an otherwise lackluster beach area. Excellent food and service and one of the best omelets I ever had. Good coffee as well. So.e more exotic features on the menu, most definitely worth trying. Best place to experience the not so pleasant uppaveli beach also.

The staff were very friendly and helped us to order from the menu. The dishes were awesome. Especially the seafood Noddles. We loved it so much. The jumbo prawns were also fresh and tasty. The place is small but the environment is good. Highly recommended this place to have western dishes. Kudos to the team. Keep up the good work!!!
