The LVM Pokaiņi forest

Peaceful and very green (summer time). Take something for mosquitos, there were a lot ot them :)
I want to go back to visit all the mini-destinations.

A highly worthwhile visit although bear in mind it's a good 2 - 3 hours walk if you go all around the place! There's a well equipped visitor centre at the main entrance with toilets and plenty of parking. There could be more interpretation around the place but it has lots to look at and puzzle over including a number of mirrors placed in tree stumps near the start! Very different!

Something bad about this forest and its aura. I will give 5 stars cause its calm and beautiful, but for me it just felt wrong for some reason. Very negative energy here.

Interesting place with much to see and walk too. A little bit dark place because of long trees and ancient forest.

Came here when it was raining so didn't spend much time here. The walk was nice either way, wish they had better and more wood posts about where you're going, it's easy to get lost

Magical and unique. No words can really explain what's going on around.

The forest pathways are a fun adventure by themselves - there's loads of walking up and down on hills, as well as always keeping an eye on the ground as not doing so would mean tripping on the thick roots that are prominent everywhere.

Two recommendations from me would be to not come with child strollers, as well as to keep a coin or two in your pocket because it looks like people love leaving coins on some of the rock heaps.

The surprisingly diverse scenery together with the undescribingly big amount of rock piles make this forest a unique place that's definitely worth visiting with your family or friends.

Grab a pair of comfortable shoes, water bottle and a anti-mosquito spray. Don't forget to buy a ticket.

This will be the place for you if you are ok with walking against and down many hills. A spiritual and calm place.

Highly recommendable place, for tourists, kids, elderly people! The trails are easy to follow, but some are harder to accomplish due to hill elevation. Worth it, nevertheless!
