Definitely worth to visit. Has nice walk, take long way around. One odd thing is our group of 5 people all agreed we did not saw one bird.

Extraordinary, out of this world, leaves you speechless. Definitely my favourite place in Latvia nature-wise. Take the lounger route and you’ll be able to climb the tower and see astonishing views over the bog. The path is well maintained with a plenty of benches and places to relax

Beautiful walk through the bogs. Make sure to do the entire loop and visit the tower.

Lovely place to walk around, a bit unusual. The place is serene - perfect for a nice long walk to enjoy unspoilt nature.

Great place for a walk in the absolute silence, especially if you are lucky to come hear early morning, when nobody is around. Can explore the local flora and fauna, which is not very rich but quite specific, also the bog itself is rather beautiful. The wood layered circular road is 1 to 3.5km long depending on which circle you plan to walk, but it is easily doable.
There is a parking lot close to the beginning of the trail, costs 2€ during the summer season and 1€ winter time.

The Kemeri nationalpark gives you a beautiful insight into the biodiversity of Latvia.
If you want to drive there by train from Riga, you have to take the train to Tukums. It will take you about 1h to arrive at Kemeri station. Once out of the train you turn left to walk to Tukuma iela and start walking down to the crossing eith A10. There is also a path through the forest with signs to the Kemeri bog walk on the right sight of the Tukuma iela but it can be easily missed as the signs are not at once visible to everyone. Once at the A10, ypu walk till you see a path called Tirela taka (on Google maps) and walk on it for 20-30min along beautiful forest trees. You should also walk by the Kemeri cementary. After that you arrive at the parking lot, picnic area and a tiny information center. Pass it by while still following the path and then, after another 10-15min, you clearly see a sign that guides you into the right direction to the boardwalk.
The view over the nationalpark on a beautiful autumn day is breathtaking. Although no animals can be seen at that time of the year, you can enjoy the view, the lakes and the silence around you. After a 2min walk you see a sign where you can chose between a short board loop (30min) or a longer one (app. 1h) including the Kemeri lookout tower. While on the boardwalk, there are a lot of places with wooden chairs or sunbeds where you can rest or simply enjoy the view.
Just be careful to plan enough time to return to the train station and check train schesules in advance. Despite the long walk to there, the Kemeri boardwalk definitely deserves 5 stars! A must see, when you want to experience Latvia.

A must-see place. It looks different each time you come depending on the time of the day and of the year. Nice for birdwatching.
You have to pay a small fee for the parking, except in winter and at night (there wasn't anyone to collect it at the sunrise).
There are a couple of outhouses but they stink so it's better to use the toilet in the nearby gas station before or after.

Extremely beautiful place. Have been in many paths through bogs, but I have never seen so many beautiful "lakes" inside. They look like eyes of the Earth. The path is of the medium length - 3.5km, with a watch tower in the middle. Definitely worth a visit.
