What a place😳😍 if you decide to stay in you will not regret it!! Is located within UNESCO site and it can’t get better than that. We had a fantastic night staying there, had super tasty dinner, rooms were clean, beds comfy and top service throughout our stay!! Best part is you are in the old town so when tourist groups move on whole site is to yourself! It’s worth this little extra comparing to different stays in “new” town.
Love every minute!!!

Beautiful riad with comfortable rooms and authentic decorations in the center of the walled fortress of Ait Ben Haddou. Wonderful to be there at night and in the morning before the tourists came. The staff is exceptional - the manager Rachid and his employees are warm, welcoming, informative and very helpful. We left something in the room and the hotel contacted us and arranged to get it to our next hotel in Marrakesh, several hours away. This is the place to stay overnight in this charming old walled city!

Absolutely fantastic and one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco. I loved it so much that I returned for an unplanned second stay on my way back to Marrakesh! Incredible hospitality, delicious food, and a beautifully decorated property, all in one of the most stunning locations I've ever visited. This is the only accommodation in the old village, so after the tourists and merchants leave for the day, you can walk around the empty village and feel like you've travelled back in time! It's quiet, peaceful, and authentic. I could not have asked for a more perfect stay, and if I am able to return to Morocco this will be the first place I book!

We stayed 1 night at this hotel - the dinner and breakfast were excellent and traditional. The interior of the Kasbah is awesome and very authentic. There is a balcony and a terrasse where you can enjoy watching the stars or the sunrise. All in all it was a beautiful experience staying here!!

Cute place. Very nice staff and owner. Middle of old town. Great rooftop patio. Solar powered so no plug ins in room but wifi and plugs available in dining and relaxing area. Inside is very nicely decorated and bed is pretty comfortable. Food (dinner) was very good and reasonably priced. Definitely a great experience to stay in a historic building.

We had a wonderful stay. Unique location and outstanding service. The room was very cosy and the diner was good (could have been a bit more, but we are big eaters). The staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended! Make sure to bring cash for the payment.

The place is absolutely amazing, the staff were super friendly and very caring to make us feel welcome and at home. The owner came to greet us and again, was super friendly. Unique experience with great views from the terrace. On last minute request, the kitchen was able to cook something vegetarian for one of us which was amazing.

Beautiful spot. We had a smaller room room but it was very cozy and beautiful, everything was great. The property is well taken care of and lots of spots to relax and catch the sunrise and sunset. It' snice to be within the old part - immersed. Modern bit is close by so you can always walk easily. We did it with backpacks. Mom and son team are so friendly and nice, accommodated everything. Wifi was available in main area, a little in the rooms.

Dar Haja is a family owned guest house. The owners, Rashid and his mother, are a fantastic host. They make sure that they personally attend to every guest and look after their comfort. Rashid is also a great person to have conversations with and offers good help with respect to Ksar Aid Benhaddou and pretty much any thing in Morocco. They are also very accommodating - we accidentally made the booking on the wrong date and forgot to change until our time to stay. Rashid did his best to make adjustments and charged us accordingly i.e. lesser than the original amount because he only could offer a smaller room than we had asked. He also didn’t charge us for the wrong booking, even when we reported that on the day of the our stay.

The rooms were clean and cozy. Some rooms directly open up to the terrace, making it a perfect view of the hills in front and stars above. Rooms are powered with solar energy since thats the only source of power inside Aid Benhaddou. The showers had hot water and the bed was comfortable. You really don’t need anything more for this memorable experience.

The food was amazing! Due to limited amenities, there are no choices available on the menu. Instead they do only Menu of the Day, where they put in all their energies to make sure that you end up satisfied. We had the chicken tajine, which I can say that was the best Tajine we had in Morocco!

If you are planning to see Ait Benhaddou and have time on your hand, you must stay inside Ait Benhaddou to get close to experience Berber living experience and disconnect from the world. And this guest house, with its comfortable stay and warm hospitality, is a perfect place for that.

I highly recommend the visit to this beautiful place because I consider an historical of marvel. If you have the chance stay to enjoy the sun set, is breathtaking as it hits the old city ruins.
It takes your back to the past and you can see how people really leaved.
It looks exactly like on the pictures.
You can walk inside and really experience the tiny and narrow paths and walk around the whole Town I recommend climbing to the top of the town.
Most impressive for me was the walk through the more or less dried out river bed and especially the view.

Unfortunately you have many vendors everywhere trying to Force you to Buy whatever although here they were less aggressive and respectful of the word NO. The prices are also cheaper than the city Marrakesh.
We had a great guide and I, super accommodating and professional, recommend you to have one.

We will definitely come back to this place. Amazing atmosphere, very friendly owners, beautiful traditional room design and fantastic food for breakfast. Views from terraces are comparable to the movie set. Whole place is absolutely unique.

VERY SPECIAL place!

Everyone who visit Marrocos should/must visit this magical place. Is more than you can expect!!
Beautiful scenery, quiet and clean air.
Excellent staff, super friendly who made us feel more than welcome!
Rashid and his mother, are a fantastic host.
The room was cozy and clean. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel.
If you are planning to see Ait Ben Haddou, you must stay inside of Ait Ben Haddou to get close to experience Berber living experience :-)
I will definitely return!!

One of the most unique places you will ever stay - and very nice inside. Couldn't recommend more.

The location inside the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou was incredible enough, but step inside the riad and it gets better. There are many well decorated and planted areas to relax, great balconies with views over the river, and large, clean rooms.

You park across the river and either walk 5-10mins to the accomodation, or pay the carpark attendant for a donkey to carry the bags.

The staff put on a tasty authentic dinner (for extra cost) - we had chicken tagine etc. And a BIG authentic and fresh breakfast is included. We had Berber omelette and pancakes with tea etc..

And the service is excellent with friendly staff who refuse to talk about payment until you leave and act as if it's an afterthought.

Could not recommend highly enough - especially for the price!

Things to note:
- Payment in cash only. Euro/Dirham.
- No power outlets in room as they are on solar. Have to charge up in the lounges.
- Wifi is very limited in range and their input strength is a weak 4G. We could barely use it.
- 5-10min walk from carpark across gravel and uneven ground. Suggest small bags only or pay for donkey to carry.
- Shower doesnt get too hot, but it is warm in the desert anyway!
