My wife and I spent a couple of nights here and we both fell in love with the place. The room was very rustic but super cozy.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Superb views from the terraces that have comfortable sunbeds to relax on.

Would highly recommend staying here for a very relaxing getaway.

During our ride in the mountains we stopped at Douar Samra for lunch. Oh my do I have the right words to explain the beauty of this place? Breathtaking views, rustic/ traditional decor with exquisite taste and colors, very good food in an original dining room area (that I feel in love with).
We didn't spend the night but we definitely will on our next visit in that area.
Meeting Jacqueline was a delight! What an amazing and interesting person she is.
What a precious and amazing setting that is Douar Samra, I encourage anybody in the area to check it out it's worth it.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Douar Samra in their stunning romantic treehouse. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

The remote location provided a unique and peaceful atmosphere, which was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed delicious communal dinners and the tranquil surroundings, with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains.

Overall, we highly recommend Douar Samra to anyone looking for a friendly and unique experience in a remote and beautiful location. The staff and the treehouse made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for an amazing experience!

We stayed in the tree house, which was great and spacious. The food was the best I've had in Morocco and dining with the other guests was a great addition. No electricity so dining by candlelight added to the experience. They also have beer and wine on offer. The hotel is off the beaten track, with a donkey carrying your suitcase down (if this is a problem I would suggest packing in a backpack instead)

This place is magic! Fantastic views, beautiful house, amazing hospitality and great food! We stayed in the Kran room, where at night 2 fires were lit and hot water bottles put in our bed. It is cold at night in the mountains, but we certainly didn't feel it. There is so much attention to detail in the rooms, terraces and it feels authentic and beautiful and full of soul. Douar Samra is an exceedingly charming, small, rustic hotel. I have stayed there twice, loved the experience both times and will happily go back at the next opportunity. It's a hidden gem and I feel torn posting this message that it may encourage others to encroach on my hidden, favorite spot but they deserve the good press.

Everything about this place was amazing!! From the cozy beautiful rooms to the very delicious dinner and nice breakfast. The staff was very nice and the owner Jacqueline very hospitable. This is a place you gotra visit at least once in your life, and if you would like a nice visit around Imlil village make sure to ask about Hassan. We had a blast with him.

We spent an excellent couple off nights here. No electricity in the room, but plenty of candles, and a fire lit for us in the evening. It was good to eat with the other guests, and you get the feeling that everyone who works there has a real stake in the place and wants to provide a great experience. It is about a 15 minute walk from Imlil, but nice to have that separation from the town which is actually pretty busy.

Don't miss a few days at the Douar Samra. It's hard to describe the cozy and excellent off-the-grid experience here. The staff are locals and incredibly friendly and helpful, the food and communal dining are wonderful, and the views spectacular. Make sure to stay no less than two nights so you have time to do a hike or two (~270 DH per person for a local guide) and also some time to just relax; and you might as well get full board so all meals are included. Wine and beer are available for an extra (reasonable) price at dinner. Note: WiFi is only in the main building and electricity is only available in half of the rooms. You should also come with extra dirham as any remaining part of your bill past the reservation deposit (and extras like alcohol and guided hike) will need to be paid in cash.

This place was amazing. We stayed two nights in the main building. Our host and hostess Mohammed and Rashida were friendly full of smiles. A fire prepared each night was a welcoming and warm atmosphere when we returned from the excellent dinner meal. The best cooking during our stay in Morroco. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

Auberge Douar Samra oh my god one of the best auberge I ever seen, located In the beautiful imlil village , what is beautiful about this place, the decoration of Berber culture, so simple and beautiful, here u can find wooden cabin without electricity just wax, the people here is so welcome and kind, also the service here is so good, bg the way there is 8 cabin starting from 700 dhs (70$) to 900. Dhs (90$).including breakfast and dinner.

Una esperienza particolare....si trova in un gruppo di case isolato, per arrivarci bisogna lasciare l'auto sulla strada e fare 100 metri tra le case e scalini !
Solo 3 camere hanno la corrente elettrica e quando fa freddo , durante la cena vengono ad accendere il camino.
La cena è uguale per tutti, ma molto tipica e molto buona.
Camera tipica ,originale e pulita.

Ein magischer Ort und dazu das Eintauchen in eine andere Welt, denn es liegt mitten in einem alten Berberdorf etwas ausserhalb von Imlil. Man merkt die Liebe in der Gestaltung in allen Details. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, Ohmar und Mohammed sind immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Das Douar Samra war auf unserer 15-tägigen Reise durch Marokko der Höhepunkt.
Ein Tipp für Wanderer: auch wenn es keinerlei Wegweiser und Markierungen gibt, man muss nicht für jede Tour einen Führer buchen. Ein Führer ist nur verpflichtend, wenn man die Toubkal-Route gehen möchte, das wird an einem Checkpoint kontrolliert. Ansonsten hilft der Rother Wanderführer oder die App Gaia bei der Suche nach Wegen.

On y était pour une seule nuitée dans le tree house c’était une déconnexion totale de la vie urbaine stressante et bruyante. On adore la décoration faite avec soin et raffinement. Le personnel hyper gentil et à l’écoute sans oublier la bienveillance de la propriétaire qui était à l’écoute pour toute demande. Je vous recommande Douar Samra une adresse à ne pas rater j’y reviendrai sûrement un jour❤❤❤
Un coup de cœur pour le thé qui nous été préparé c’était trop trop bon sans oublier qurichlat d accueil un vrai délice ☺☺
