We didn't actually stay at the hotel. We were asked to meet up here before heading into the desert. Since it was in the middle of the summer, it was extremely hot. We got to use the facilities & swimming pool for about 3 hours. The folks working there were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were really clean. The garden was well maintained. Lastly, the swimming pool was literally right next to sand dunes, which was simply surreal. Overall, if I do come back to Merzouga in the future, I'd strongly consider staying here.

Rooms were nice, but no wifi available there, only in the main lobby area.

Breakfast and dinner buffets were good as well

Incredible location! Literally feet from the sand dunes and easy to trek into the desert at any time of day.

9/10

Great rooms, great service, great food and the fact that it opens directly on the sand dunes was perfect for an evening walk catching the sun set and later for star gazing. Highly recommended.

Hotel Cafe de Sud is a hotel located in the Moroccan city of Merzouga (Sahara desert). Hotel staff is very good and helpful. Especially İbrahim, Celal and Akka are very good. A place to go for a nice day out in the Sahara Desert.

Such an amazing place to stay! The camel trek into the desert, the great buffet dinner, large homey rooms with great air conditioning. The pool was large and cold and couldn't look any better right next to the sand dunes of the Sahara. The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered advice about what to see in the local area. Really enjoyed our stay here, it was such a nice place to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere.

Traditional Berber food and hospitality beautifully decorated halls and rooms and a good diner sazonated with Berber blues. Sleep in a tent in the dunes or go out at nigth to see stars.
